VestaDS pointed out that if Jan 9th 2009 is a relevant date and Pluto is important to Bitcoin then Saturn is crossing that 1° 35' as we head into the New Year.

I don't know much about Critical Degrees or Points but I bet there is one hanging around 1° Cardinal Capricorn ?

That observation makes things pretty exciting as that'll be as -VE as Saturn gets for this for z while, and then Uranus will be adding Rocket Fuel to the scenario once he begins to move forward.

So if we are working to the principle that Bitcoin was "born" sometime in late 2008 and early 2009.

I feel something like Blockchain would have a long gestation period.

A time when Pluto was transiting into Capricorn, then it may be helpful to note that as things stand Bitcoin hit the low point of the recent Selling at around 14pm UKT on the 22nd Dec.

Saturn at that time was 0°17' into Capricorn and the Sun 0°55'.

Let's see if that remains the Low Point or whether it drops lower again.

This may give us a better point for the natal Pluto.

vicki - yes i think the timing and place of this conjunction and where we are at in the world of finance makes your question very possible.. i don't know how things pan out, but it is an open question..

We must remember that we astrologers, are also consumers, and consumers have the right to question new currencies, like Bitcoin.

For example. is it a ponzi scheme or a pyramid scheme, like Amway, like some media reports suggest, where the initial investors get a cut from each subsequent investor.

The link between Bitcoin, for example, and organized crime, also cannot be ignored. Some reports say drug dealers initially "funded" bitcoin, as a way to essentially launder their money. This is a growing problem, actually, called the dark internet, where all things Satan perculate, from child pornography to well, bitcoin ?

The secrecy of the founder of Bitcoin is another red flag. We don't really know who that person is, and furthermore, he hides under a Japanese pseudonym.

Why the need to hide ?

If you are legitimate, there is no need to hide at all !

Regarding the founding chart for Bitcoin, that chart is by no means a slam dunk.

Wikipedia writes: "On 18 August 2008, the domain name bitcoin.org was registered."

That chart, time unknown, features the Sun in Leo, and the Moon in (deceptive) Pisces, conjunct unstable Uranus.

Pisces rules the drug trade, legal or not.

The biggest beef about Bitcoin is its unreliability and speculative nature, as suggested by the Moon conjunct Uranus. However, since Uranus rules the virtual world and computers, (as does Virgo) the fact that it is a currency rooted in the internet is symbolic of the Moon's meetup with Uranus.

The Sun opposes Neptune in Aquarius and is also an aspect of shady dealings and corruption from the founders.

However, the stellium of planets in Virgo (Saturn, Mercury, Venus, and Mars) trine Jupiter in Capricorn indicates that it COULD become a legitimate currency over time, but time will time, of course.

Jupiter in Capricorn symbolizes the 'old money' and the establishment, so bitcoin could well be bankrolled by the banks and the governments, at some point, just like the tabacco companies have now invested in vaping and marijuana production, since tabacco kills people.

Neptune in Pisces, by transit, gives a "hit" to the Virgo stellium, via opposition, so that suggests to me that the road to h*ll is paved with good intentions, but, it will be a bumpy road, nonetheless. Expect wide swings and drops in value over the next year.

Meanwhile, for some of you astrologers, make sure that you invest in bitcoin, so that a percentage of your loot goes to the shady folk who own bitcoin, isn't it true ! LOL

(If not true, then, throw us your best links that say it is NOT a pyramid scheme). Whatever, there is a strong Neptunian theme running with this pseudo currency that does raise alarm bells !)

Finally, the name "Bitcoin" is deceptive, in itself ! It's NOT a coin, at all, but it's a figment of the greedy imagination of its founders.

There are quiet a few good people questioning what Bitcoin or better Blockchain is all about.

I understand it is a "hack proof" Ledger or information storage mechanism. You buy a piece of it.

I think then Bitcoins are like a digitalised IOU system.

It is said that there are at least 100 further uses for Blockchain such as Land Registers, where the information has to be totally secure, like Title Deeds.

My question is considering the Electricity needed to process Blockchains is the value of the "Truth" worth it ?

But remember some people believe that we are close to an Economic Collapse and that Paper Money might become worthless if that happened.

People then say that we'd fall back on a Batter System.

I think Pluto's ingress into Capricorn late 2008 and very early 2009 is linked to Bitcoin and the Blockchain idea.

It is threatening to bring the whole way we deal with money down. Blockchain is threatening many things where People in Power are in the Know and others aren't.

Now Saturn crossed over the very early degrees of Capricorn, and the very late degrees of Sagittarius late in December and the Bitcoin price pulled back.

Uranus is now heading towards those degrees of Sagittarius and Capricorn in a 120°. Oh Yes Baby !!

This suggests that the whole Bitcoin/ Blockchain thing may get an uber boost thru till the Spring, and on and one till well into 2019.
