Outer Planets

Hi, I have been trying to find information about how the outer planets behave in a Horary chart, for example what kind of details can they give and why? For example now with things going on the heaven, if a significator is conjunct Uranus and north node both in Taurus, what kind of information can this planet give you? So it would be probably erratical behaviour? abrupt changes? Etc?.

Same for Pluto and Neptune, in my case I have seen how Neptune can show lies but When it’s close to q significator can mean deeply sadness. But there isn’t a way to understand why this outer planets give these inks of information different to traditional astrology?

Thanks

The use of outer planets in horary is a controversial subject. Some readers never use them and are strictly traditional, while others use them at varying degrees. I use them if they reside in an important house or aspect important significators but I use them as a descriptor and not something that will lead to or deny perfection of a matter.

There have been old threads in the past on this subject:

Deb also talks about the outer planets briefly here:

Hi, Maleja.

My first contact with Horary Astrology was through Sylvia de Long's book: The Art of Horary Astrology in Practice.
I only have the book in my native language, so I'll try to translate what she says about this into poor English:

If the chart promises a successful outcome of the matter or desire, the fact that Neptune, Saturn, Mars, or Uranus is rising may interfere with or delay the process.
An exception to this rule is if the rising “malefic??? (as querent's co-ruler) makes a favorable aspect to the ruler or goal.
However, when Neptune rises, it can still denote delay.

Neptune rising
Delay, confusion, or disappointment can interfere with the progress of the goal. Often there is nothing the native can do about the subject.
It's suggested to reassess the desire or goal, as the person is often confused or may be deluding himself about the matter.

Uranus rising
The unexpected can happen in the subject you are asking about. The querent is unpredictable or may change his mind. Think carefully about what you want. Exception: In divorce questions, Uranus rising often shows a divorce (Uranus) on the way. But if in your question you are expecting or are afraid of a divorce, it can suggest the unexpected: a reconciliation.

Mars rising
Dissatisfaction and discord are the usual indications of the desired goal. It's favorable to wait. The matter may not have the expected result and you'll have to change plans. It can be an encouraging indication when something is feared.

Saturn rising
Saturn tends to restrict or paralyze activity relating to the subject being asked. When the outcome depends on the querent's action, this action is delayed. Saturn tends to stop the course of predicted or stop the feared outcome.

Now I'll talk a little about my experience:
Neptune may show something that has been stolen, or there will be a trap. Also shows disappointment about a product purchased. I've seen a chart where the object has been stolen and Neptune was rising. The object was lost.
Thieves and deception are frequently pointed out on this planet.

Uranus shows some outside influence that changes the course of things. Not necessarily a negative change, but everything doesn't turn out as planned and you need to rethink a way to solve problems (you will need a plan B).

The Moon, on the other hand, rises when I change my mind on the matter in a short time. Sometimes represents an unexpected trip for me.

Pluto, I rarely consider. I only use it as support if it is representing the subject in question. Usually, it shows me a greedy person (or who wants to win in life) or something that is falling apart, disintegrating until it collapses.

Hope it helps!

Cheers

Thank you

Thank you so much Tannit, I saw this posts before but it doesn’t really show the different kind of shades that this planets give to significators or angles. The information is quite vague. I have seen you, and you are very good describing things, I really admire your readings, according to your experience, what tonalities does this planets give to the significators?

Miss Watson, this information is incredible and worth gold, thank you very much for sharing it here, have you had experience when is the quesited conjunct the outer planet? For example, I saw a chart in a forum recently where the quesited Mars in detriment was conjunct Uranus and North Node in 8th house, I didn’t give an answer because I’m not really sure how Uranus is acting. Is maybe showing an erratic behaviour? Something the person can’t control? Etc?

Thank you ????

Hi, Maleja,
Good to know that was useful!

Well, actually I did. Unfortunately it was a chart (erected Aug 1) when I asked about my dog and the worst happened. Uranus, North Node and Mars at the 8th House, of death.
It's helpful to look at the main significators if the horary question is related to the 8th house, like it was in my case.
I found more about it here: http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h8.html

In Horary Astrology:
As above. Death, loss, or issues relating to these for the querent. Financial affairs of the wife or lover. Issues that bring us fear, anxiety or loss.

Cheers!
