Will he settle professionally this year? 1 by ashwsh I and my partner left a very well-off life in our home country and moved to another country a few years ago. Whatever savings we had we put as a down payment to the house and took up jobs that we could get. It has now been 4 years since we came here, and while I have a stable job things have not been really the best for my partner. Despite being a very good chef, he seems to be getting stuck on jobs that pay hourly and do not appreciate his talent. Last December, he got his right-hand surgery as picking up extra heavy pots and pans was putting a strain on his palm. He still has not fully recovered. Meanwhile, in April he joined a small place run by a well-renowned Chef (let's call it N). N wanted him to join part-time and again work on a section in the kitchen where heavy lifting was required. N also wants to open another branch of his restaurant. Meanwhile, in another place, F was trying to pursue my partner. He liked the place F, and as the place was still in the stage of opening, they offered him a good package and a larger role. F opened last week. My partner being the head chef, fixed a lot of recipes for them, and lots of good responses on social media, however, the initial momentum has been slow financially due to road blockage around the restaurant and some other factors. Owners of F now want to cut down the number of days my husband works for making him a lot frustrated, as he put his heart and soul into helping them start this place and feels cheated as they are not owning their words. My partner's poor financial earnings also put a burden on me to run the house and expenses. As you are aware nothing is moving for me on the job front. Anyway, now my partner is fed up with arguments with the owners of F and wants to call it to quit if they continue to haggle more. Meanwhile, the option of going back to N is still available, but the issue of ruining the condition of the hand further stays and also in the process left hand could get impacted as well. Also, N was not informed about F, but he may have sensed that my partner's interest is declining from his place, due to poor pay and health reasons. I asked if things will improve or settle for my partner professionally this year? He is Saturn/ strong in his own house. but Saturn will retrograde in 5 days, does that mean things may not be as good soon, Also if N is 10th from the 7; Jupiter will also retrograde in July and F is 11th from 10th, Saturn again, retrograde. Or maybe F is mercury, retracting from their stance. I'm so confused. so many factors here. All in sometimes I feel he should dump all these people and open his own place. Here is the chart: https://i.postimg.cc/vm20FW9D/Professionally.jpg Thank you very much all Regards Quote Sun May 29, 2022 4:00 pm
by ashwsh The other thing is Saturn in the 7th, not sure if the chart is then acceptable or not. However it almost conjuncts the AC of my partner and shows that he feels the responsibility. I see the 4th house crowded, I/sun am sitting there along with moon and mercury. Regards Quote Sun May 29, 2022 8:28 pm
by Ouranos Hello Ashwsh, Just to put the record straight on the actors in this chart. His current position is with F so it is the 10th from the 7th = radical 4th House ruled by Pluto (and Mars) The other job with N would be the 10th from the 10th from the 7th = radical ASC ruled by the Sun with little applying aspects, although sextiling Mars and Jupiter and the Moon VOC would be a better option. The Sun (you!) sextiling his Mars/Jupiter in his 2nd House is a positive support financially. --------- The 6th House (radical 12th) with F ruled by the Moon VOC and last degree of Taurus shows that your husband is at the end of his rope with his responsibilities and duties with his current job. And that the job description will change drastically from what it was originally intended. Moon last over Mercury R and squaring his Saturn L1 in ASC describes well the road blockage around the restaurant and the surgery to his hand. --------- With the Moon VOC conjunct NN and Mercury turning direct in a few days, something else will happen that will change the nature of your question. Best to you, Ouranos Blessings! Quote Mon May 30, 2022 11:41 am
by AmeliaS I'm sorry to hear about what your partner's going through, Ashwsh. I don't think all hope is lost. Saturn is angular and strongly dignified by domicile. His next aspect is Mercury. Mercury is retrograde and square him from the 10th house of recognition and career. Square and retrograde are usually no good, but this aspect is with strong reception by term + face (Dorotheus's dignity table). That means the aspect is still positive. Moon is strong in Taurus. She is received by an essentially dignified Mars. This is again with strong reception by Dorothean triplicity (participating) + term. At the same time, Moon is sextile Jupiter, the greater fortune. As Ouranos points out though, Moon is about to change sign. There is likely an imminent change in store for him. Mercury retrograde seems to suggest the same. Squares and sextiles advise effort at the Querent's end. There are things your partner needs to work on or overcome. Is there any room to negotiate with the former employer about his duty? There seems no reason to force heavy-lifting duties on someone injured! That's insane. And maybe try and talk things out once more with the new employer. My feeling from this chart is that one of these places is gonna work out OK for him. Good luck! Quote Mon Jun 06, 2022 7:53 am
by ashwsh Hello Both, thank you so much for your response. My partner had to let go of working with N, due to issues with his hand. N wanted him to run the place eventually, but N is also a bit stingy, so both my partner's health and N's temperament were not helpful. So my partner finally settled the salary with him and got done with it. On the other hand, F made peace with his compensation for now but is cutting corners elsewhere, making my partner work longer hours. Some days it is almost 14 hours. He is so exhausted that I'm pretty much doing all the household work plus my office work...This is exhausting me too. I really do hope things work out for good for him and I can be at peace. Thank you both again Regards Regards Quote Thu Jun 09, 2022 12:58 pm
by ashwsh So my husband joined F, and life has been strenuous since then for him. The owners of F are very nagging and want to micromanage. The restaurant is new and has been open for only 2 months. My husband fixed the food at the restaurant, Google rating is 5/5. People love the food, but revenue still hasn't been much. I understand that as people who have never run a restaurant in the past, the financial worry is tremendous. I would do the same, being in their shoes. My husband is constantly working for them, even on days off, he is on a call with the owners and just doesn't like the environment. They have a poor attitude and do not make the team or people feel valued. Their manager recently quit them, due to poor conduct of the owners. 2 days ago, my husband expressed his desire to leave the place, as the owners still have not made him permanent and are always threatening to shut the place or cut shifts. One of the owners is very bitter and expects a 24X7 availability. He regrets his decision to leave N (former workplace) but back then his health was a priority. My worry is if he quits, the burden to run the house will again fully come on me. Just when I thought things would get better, they start to derail. There is no concrete plan in place as a backup. There is a lot of conversation about starting his own restaurant, but no action yet. I am wondering if things get better at all ever or does one keep hustling all the time. I made a chart to understand if he will quit again, not sure what is happening. But now I'm getting worried. I got an early ascendant, so I assume, some more information is to come in. But I still tried to read the chart. https://i.postimg.cc/htLvjwKC/is-he-goi ... -again.jpg I am Saturn, in my house, but retrograde. I am thinking about myself. He is sun, in his 12th house of undoing, he is Leo, so strong position for him too. Moon in Cancer is again strong. Moon is applying square to Jupiter/2nd house ruler, so financial worries are about to begin. The 10th house ruler for my husband is Venus. The interesting part is the trine from Sun/Jupiter in 6 units, but not sure if it would complete as Jupiter would retrograde before that. Somehow, I feel he will quit, given he/sun is at DC and gradually moves into his own house. He will combust mercury. His 11th house ruler of income from the employer. Thoughts?
