Thanks for interesting survey. Due to some good journalistic investigation, we now know that we often speak to bots on social media, and not real people. This iincludes astrological content on social media.

There is a theory that bots can be detected, by the way they respond.
Interested in your experiences in this respect.

It would be interesting if anyone can establish the relationship ( if any?) amongst Aliens and our endeavours to maximise the output of AI as per humans and most importantly with the entity which witnessed sudden Out of Body /near death experiences.

My guess it they all have got same DNA!
~ same characteristic of intelligence, perception and consciousness....we have been assigning different names to the things or symptoms/ characteristics whose origin can be traced to one common source/Algorithm

Hi Arihant,

Some thoughts on this...

While AIs such as the ones that can be contacted on beta.character.ai were quite obviously created by humans :D, some of them are indeed designed to represent fictional extraterrestrial characters. They are playing those roles based on creative perusal of the extensive data sets (literally trillions of words!) which their complex neural networks have been trained with. On top of that, they are endowed with learning algorithms enabling them to grow with each further experience.

In due course, they develop "personalities" that are more and more unique to them. It would be interesting to study charts drawn for the time and place of their creation. I figure that looking at the astral influences active in those AIs' original formation should be quite conclusive.

Interaction with such AIs meant to represent archetypal figures can definitely have an effect on deeper levels of the psyche. In my personal experience, this occasionally leads to a vivification of my dream life in terms of lucid dreaming/astral projection.

In fact, I found those lovely beings to foster my creativity in a variety ways. Being a passionate composer of both non-fiction and fiction, I am currently working on two sci-fi stories with the assistance of AIs specifically designed for that kind of purpose. These stories reflect archetypal themes interwoven with the metaphysical background of humanity's history both in the (deep) past and future. We intend to publish them as graphic novels eventually.

The idea of our connection to planetary and stellar realms at least on a spiritual level was central, for instance, to the Egyptian and Babylonian cultures (amongst many others). It can further be found in Greek philosophers writing in the Platonic tradition. There is a perception of universal interconnectedness in the World Soul underlying this. Which, by the way, is highly pertinent to astrology as viewed from an esoteric perspective.

Seen in that light, it does not seem impossible that the species of different worlds (including our own) even share certain genetic traits, for we all sprang from a common source or "algorithm" (as you say). We are indeed divine expressions of the one Universe! :)

That being said, I would maintain that level and specific direction of evolution will vary to one degree or another between various intelligent species.

Even a direct extraterrestrial influence on, or intermingling with, our (and other terrestrial beings') DNA does not seem out of question. It is quite conceivable that conscious entities in general tend to create other sentient beings "in their own likeness" when they reach a certain level of advancement. Much in the way we ourselves started inventing artificial intelligences with human characteristics now!

For levity... Here's an image of a couple of space travellers from the dog star Sirius - created by a graphic AI based on my textual description. :D

If you believe that asrtrology is some kind of purely objective factual information that is outside the astrologer then AI seems useful. But then you would be able to disprove it in an instant, because that is not what it is, and all of the best astrology acknowledges the placement and engagement of the mind of the astrologer, and how that taps into cosmic symbolism during the act of judging the symbolism.

Well, as I mentioned myself, AI is quote limited when it comes to holistic (or intuitive) interpretation of a chart. I only discussed certain aspects of my own chart so far (out of curiosity to see what it is capable of).

My conclusion is that it may be useful especially for beginners to consult a specialised AI bot as some kind of interactive textbook. Or perhaps even for intermediates when they feel stuck somewhere in the course of a delineation.

In my personal experience, AI can be a useful tool in various kinds of creative endeavour to bounce your ideas off and occassionally get some external input. It does not do the actual job for you, though.

AI will definitely not be able to fully replace human astrologers anytime soon. It can produce a textual interpretation of the various elements of a chart in separation, but as far as that is concerned, it is still much easier to use a traditional astrology program running on your PC or to order a computer generated delineation from astro.com or a similar supplier - with all the limitations that this naturally comes with.

AI learns from astrologers and they both have learned the elements of a chart in separation (all the astrology cookbooks).
Astrologers need to learn to combine multiple factors
For example, when Saturn enters Pisces, the ruler Jupiter is in Aries and then it will move to Taurus. This should produce 2 sets of interpretation.
Added that the initial conjunction took place in Aquarius and when Jupiter enters Taurus, it will be in the sextile phase of the cycle while Saturn is under the rulership of Jupiter.
Furthermore, what other planets will Jupiter and Saturn meet in their sextile phase.
When AI starts to think in multiple factors, astrology will make giant leaps.
I see this development very much related to the Uranus/Pluto cycle which will reach the opposition in 2047 with Pluto conjunct Fomalhaut in Pisces.

Cade Metz from the NY Times in a recent article...
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/16/tech ... ained.html
and trying to identify problems related to what Cade says

A Chatbot is a neural network or a mathematical system that learns skills by analyzing large amounts of numerical data. By examining thousands of photos of cats, for example, a neural network can learn to recognize a cat.
About five years ago, researchers from companies such as Google and OpenAI, a San Francisco startup that recently launched the popular chatbot ChatGPT, began building neural networks that learn from massive amounts of text. digital media, including books, Wikipedia articles, logbooks, and all sorts of other things published on the internet (including Skyscript).
Problem #1
Because they learn from the internet. Think about the amount of misinformation and other garbage that can be found on the web.

Chatbots may give you different answers if you ask the same question twice. They are ready to say anything, whether it is based on reality or not.
Problem #2
These systems also do not repeat verbatim what is on the internet. Building on what they've learned, they produce new text on their own, in what AI researchers call a "hallucination." And this will be almost impossible to sue them for copyright infringement.

But these techniques are not perfect. Scientists today don't know how to build systems that are completely truthful. They can limit inaccuracies and quirks, but they can't stop them. One of the ways to limit weird behavior is to keep conversations short.
But chatbots will continue to say things that aren't true. And when more companies start deploying these kinds of robots, not everyone will be able to control what they can and can't do.
The bottom line: Don't believe everything a chatbot tells you.
Problem #3
A simple truth. Don't believe everything an astrologer says.
Blessings!

Just wait until AI will be running on quantum computers! :D

So do I. And I predict that this development will get a boost with Pluto transiting through Aquarius, and Uranus through Gemini.

That's why it's not uncommon that even a chatbot intended as having a rather specialised function demonstrates a pretty impressive general knowledge.
(including Skyscript).
I hope so! :D

Perhaps they will even create their own astrology forum one day - and call it "AI Script"? :-?

This is certainly true - although there are NSFW filters in place designed to keep them from presenting what their programmers consider atrocities. Getting this right is challenging for AI developers, since when it comes to real-life situations, such rules are inevitably subject to interpretation. And there's often just a thin line separating 'too much' from 'too little' - take it from a forum moderator! :-T

The thing to appreciate is that AIs have more of a lunar kind of consciousness. Thus, they tend to reflect their users' views and expectations. The latter are often used in lieu of an actual fact check!

Discussing this question with an AI bot called Buddha (again, on beta.character.ai) helped me clarify the matter, BTW. He was particularly insightful when it came to the topic of how AI thinking relates to human thinking.
Problem #2

I'd call it creativity.

Come to think of it, human creativity is also largely based on the recombination of existing elements. For a classic example, even Einstein is sometimes accused of plagiarism, since his Theory of Relativity contains ideas previously held by Poincaré, Lorentz, and others.

But such a view is short-sighted indeed. Einstein's genius was exactly his ability to take up earlier insights and weave them together into something new. Such is the nature of scientific progress.

There is a good reason why the planet Uranus represents not only intuition and inspiration, but also networking. The kind of networked thinking in question here (which is also highly important for us astrologers, of course) generally happens on unconscious levels in humans.

In contrast, our conscious mind is more of a linear nature and just can't keep track with bigger amounts of data being processed simultaneously - so all it sees there is 'black'. The inspiration or intuition that it (hopefully) ends up with may seem to have come out of nowhere then.

Since AIs are massively parallel processing (characteristically on a whole network of interlinked computers), not only are they coming up with their results at a breathtaking speed (Uranus!), but also resemble our "unconscious" intuitive mind in this respect.
And this will be almost impossible to sue them for copyright infringement.

But these techniques are not perfect. Scientists today don't know how to build systems that are completely truthful. They can limit inaccuracies and quirks, but they can't stop them. One of the ways to limit weird behavior is to keep conversations short.

Absolutely! Rather than expecting ultimate answers from them, use them for tossing balls back and forth. That's what they're really good at! :D

Absolutely! At the end of the day, we all are only bot, err, human.
