Re: Baseball Series: Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays 13 by Ouranos I agree with you. Testing your system over a database and see how your system works out. It is not impossible. Right now, with the system I use, I feel comfortable in a win or loose situation. But when I try to venture in how the game is played, that's where my margin error is no better than not using any system at all. I was looking at a soccer game in Italy today and the odds on that game. They have of course - Win, loose or tie. I can bet on this one more on the win/loose side. -------------------------- The other options with much better payouts and a grey area for me - Total goals - Both teams will score at least one goal - Who scores first - Total goals in the first half. - Final score with many options. Like for example, 4-2 for Parma is 100/1 And I am leaning on less options with better payouts. Like looking at 3 games maximum with better payouts instead of 6 games with lower payouts. Or 2 games with an option on the final score. I will believe the adage according to which those who have no luck in gambling have good luck in love, the day I see a seedy loser leaving with a beautiful black jack dealer. Blessings! Re: Baseball Series: Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays 14 by janegca Not sure what timing mechanism you could use other than the transit over "the opener" angles and planets; 4' motion might work if transit motion doesn't. I'm used to turning the actual chart. Wonder, as the "opener" chart is for the year, maybe try turning it at the monthly rate, 265.25/30 or 12.175 days = 1 degree? See if any aspects to the "opener" and transit planets tie in to events? Best of luck with your selections. Quote Sun Oct 01, 2023 4:51 pm
Re: Baseball Series: Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays 15 by Ouranos Final - Tampa Bay 12 Blue Jays 8 Have found who got hit by the Mercury-Neptune opposition The Blue Jays starter Parsons who was so bad at the beginning of the game. 8-3 Rays after 2 innings, giving up 9 hits, 3 BB, 1 hit by pitch, 1 grand slam He had the visit of the Mercury/Neptune opposition right on his Mars/Jupiter midpoint (by semi-square) Solar chart below. Wes Parsons.png Viewed 35968 times 104.11 KiB This is what I find interesting with midpoints. A bad combination over a lucky combination do not cancel each other out. His natal Mars/Jupiter = success Parsons hasn't pitched in the majors since 2019 and played in South Korea during the past two seasons, signed a minor-league contract with the Blue Jays in May. And he got a promotion today to pitch the last game But Mercury/Neptune was around the corner. A sour retreat to the showers after a lucky call. Giving up 9 points to the Rays in 4 innings. End result 12/17 - 70.6% --------------------- Well it was so much fun participating in this mini contest with you Janegca! I enjoyed every day this little rendez-vous, win or loose. The whole idea was to put astrology to the test. And I am glad I did it with you! Thank you! Thank you also Jason for acting as the crowd during these games! Ouranos Blessings! I have read about mid-points but never paid much attention to them. Curious, where did you find Parsons natal info? Thank you, it has been fun, and while it didn't pan out all that well for me it did force me think about various astrological tenets. Thank you also Jason for acting as the crowd during these games! Yes, thank you Jason for starting the thread and seeding the notion of testing models. Hope you are doing well. Take care Jane Quote Mon Oct 02, 2023 12:29 pm
Re: Baseball Series: Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays 17 by Ouranos That is pretty cool Ouranos. I have read about mid-points but never paid much attention to them. Curious, where did you find Parsons natal info? On the website of the Major League Baseball. No birthtime. That could be an interesting area to investigate. A major hard aspect in the sky and looking what midpoints are activated for the starters. I also liked in your system the 4 minutes progression during the game. Worth investigating. And I believe there is not only one system to read the whole game. Maybe taking the best part in each to make a coherent approach. A question remains. Why in a chart, let's say Mars culminating, why is it in favor of a team on that day? I have also found this website to provide the exact start time of any game in baseball https://www.baseball-reference.com/team ... m_schedule Be well, Ouranos Blessings! I found site the other day that has full season/game info going way back but haven't had time to take a close look at it: Retrosheet.org ; it looks interesting. Cool! Thanks Jane. They have a bio file with birthtime for all players, a CSV file. Useful as a reference. Blessings! Quote Tue Oct 03, 2023 2:50 pm
Re: Baseball Series: Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays 20 by Jason Wow, I'm impressed. You two went all in on this topic and created some really useful threads for study. Thanks! janegca wrote: Sun Oct 01, 2023 1:17 pm Anyway, that's what I've been considering. Whether or not I'll try it out remains to be seen; too late for the baseball season but the basketball season starts Oct 5th so maybe. Certainly could not watch all the games so no way to time things although with basketball it is possible to look at timing later as there are databases out there with replays that have all the in game times. Timing elements could not be part of an initial model though; they'd have to be after the fact. Might be an interesting project. Would certainly keep me busy...lol It would be quite a project, Jane. The idea of potentially unlocking a working methodology though is exciting. You mention the NBA season and it made me wonder, does who wins possession of the initial jump ball factor into the challenger vs. challenged scenario? Hockey, too, with face-offs? Thoughts? thoughts are just thoughts Quote Thu Oct 05, 2023 9:02 am

The idea of potentially unlocking a working methodology though is exciting. It would take some time. Currently I'm still trying to wrap up my Worsdale study (almost there) and I had planned on writing up at least 10 events in 10 charts looking at the PD's using the method I've been exploring; I've also been piqued by the STA video's, so many things to look at closely, so little time! You mention the NBA season and it made me wonder, does who wins possession of the initial jump ball factor into the challenger vs. challenged scenario? Hockey, too, with face-offs? Thoughts? I had considered that but I think the same basic challenger/defender rules would apply and that the toeing of the line at the jump-offs/face-offs marks the beginning of the game. If the away team doesn't take the field there is no battle/jump-off/face-off. Although I may be dead wrong; Ouranos' method uses the 1st for the home team and it appears to work quite well in opening day charts. I wonder if the difference is because it is seen as a "natal" chart, the birth of the season for the particular team, rather than an event chart? I've been using charts timed for the game start so the "natal" event is for the game itself and not either team. Will have to think about that! Take care Quote Thu Oct 05, 2023 1:27 pm
