Hi there - thankfully this website is not behind a facebook fortress. I can see you have a facebook presence, but I am glad that there is also a non-social media alternative.

I have made my views on the community using facebook to promote astrological events and to share knowledge known, and I am glad to see that there is some growing recognition that it is not a helpful way forward. Convenient? Possibly. But it puts vital information behind an inscrutable wall for many internet users.

Yes, I echo your thoughts AstralW. There is a very good public events group on Facebook, but not everyone wants to go to Facebook. I have a Facebook page but I can be weeks between visits, and those kinds of directories are never as good as something like this, which Mark has tailored to the needs of astrology event providers and customers.

I have had a scrolling panel of events there for a while, but only to highlight Skyscript events or major international conferences that re set up for physical attendance (rather than online events - just too many of those for me to cope with). I am really pleased that Mark has developed this, so I could add a link there to his directory - I've also linked to the Facebook Group too.

In the near future, I will implement Deb's idea of classifying events by target audience: beginners, professionals, and any level of astrology knowledge. This way, it will be easier to find the right event.

By the way, if you are an individual astrologer and want to promote your personal events, you are more than welcome to contact me, and I will create an account for you.

Additionally, this site allows you to publish articles that will be automatically SEO-optimized (from a technical standpoint), so you can quickly appear in search results and showcase your style of work to the astrology audience.
