Re: Kamala Harris' Chart

On this day (August 18) in 1920, the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, guaranteeing American women’s right to vote, was ratified, when Tennessee became the 36th state to approve it.

I thought some might find it worth considering the chart for the bulletin that moved just after 1 p.m. on Aug. 18, 1920, conveying the breaking news that the 19th Amendment had been ratified giving women the constitutional right to vote (shared below).

Harris' chart plugs into it firmly, her natal Moon-Sun-Saturn combination highlighted by the ratification chart's Moon-Sun/Jupiter sextile; the ratification chart features a Venus-Uranus-Pluto exchange as does Kamala's radix.

Also worth noting is that the Proclamation of the Women's Suffrage Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was signed into law 7 days after the ratification, on August 26, 1920. Venus was at 17° Virgo (tropical) on this day - a position Kamala shares.

Venus in Kamala's chart is the exalted ruler of her MC and disposits her MC ruler. Its position in her 4th house suggests a lasting legacy, also patriotism and perhaps service to one's nation. Virgo, where Venus has its fall, isn't considered a very empowering sign for Venus according to tradition -- but as abolitionist and women's rights supporter Fredrick Douglass once declared, "If there is no struggle, there is no progress."

Thank you for sharing Jason,

I find it interesting that the women's right to vote is under the 19th Amendment
19 being the Metonic Cycle of the Moon (235 synodic months ending at the same time as 19 tropical years or 254 tropical lunar months)
And where was the Moon when the amendment was ratified? Conjunct Spica the main star of the Virgo constellation.
Spica is believed to be the star that gave Hipparchus the data that led him to discover the precession of the equinoxes. It also symbolizes prosperity and abundance.

If Kamala’s natal jupiter conjuncting trumps MC means she will help him win…wouldn’t that be the case throughout the whole campaign?
It clearly isn’t, she’s beating him

Imo her natal Mars square jupiter is battering his mc very easily and only aggravating his own Mars square mc aspect
(If you could aggravate it even more that is)
She has a lot of luck on her side , not least she is inspiring millions, he doesn’t
Just my unprofessional two cents
Ps her Saturn conjunct mc in Aquarius says to me she’s the big boss or should be
Her Sun in libra with ruler conjunct Aquarius in Virgo, what more could you want , will leave no stone unturned in pushing for good values, people values not $$$ values
[/quote]

Yes I agree, Emma, and I think the Full Moon affects him more than KH so we'll see how that goes. It's quite possible that whilst astrologers are distracted by the Dem Conference it's actually Trump that steals the spotlight because right now he needs to change the narrative but seems unable to do so. He won't like Kamala - Kamila sounds better! :-T - taking the spotlight at the Conference so its possible he will attempt to steal it away from her by doing something to get the headlines. I may be wrong but I'm not sure the focus is on KH as much as Trump. The full moon is right on his horizon axis and Jupiter on his Uranus - with Uranus the focus of the t-sq its a possibility. It could be neither of them of course but he looks the likelier candidate to spring any Uranian surprises.

Thanks astralwanderer and Greg for your insights, I always read but don’t always have the ability to respond (too much info for my brain lol the most I managed was mayo school of astrology certificate plus the plethora of confusing stuff on the net after that )
Must say though that full moon chart and trump sooo full of red aspects hardly a place to breathe
Trump must have been in the mind of the person who coined the phrase there’s a fine line between genius and insanity
All trumps Uranus energies seem to have flipped to the wrong side
He is saying crazy things and downright vile things that should put off any sane decent person
He even attacks his own supporters and calls them basement dwellers by latest accounts by people who worked near him or for him
It’s a shame he’s disrespecting and abusing his potential
As Greg says he will try something maverick to get attention but I think he won’t even be able to do that unless he goes to far far extremes ..he knows he’s beat
It seems the general “consensus” amongst various commentators and a few astrologers that it’s 50 50 but trump will win
I believe it’s not 50 50 its less so for trump at the moment (why oh why do the Americans have such a long campaign for a four yr term) and people will come to their senses…I hope no woman dares to vote for the mysoginist ….least of all because of his vile words about his opponent.….otherwise they are endorsing his behaviour
No astrology from me so will but out for now before I get moderated

Re: Kamala Harris' Chart

This is the 5th chart in a row I've looked at in which in the Moon favours Kamala or at least a 'female' candidate. Usually the point is made by having the Moon or Venus residing in the 10th house (an obvious sign of favour). It involves a few lunations around the time of election, one Sibly chart lunar return and this Stationary chart (set for World/Greenwich) with progressions for Nov 5, 2024. Jupiter is of course related to the Democrats traditionally and here the omens for all things Jupiterian are looking rather good. A previous opposition of prog.moon to Saturn occurred at the time Biden pulled out. Seems like the Moon just doesn't get on with Trump at all.

Woman voters anyone?

Actually the chart set for Washington DC is more impressive by having the Progressed Moon on the ASC and conjunct Black Lilith (female; activism). As noted previously every chart just seems to be pointing to the feminine influence and I am a detached observer simply pointing out what the charts suggest.

According to Archie Dunlop's blog and recent videos : "Traditionally Jupiter rules the GOP, and Saturn the Democrats." (Here, in the last paragraph).

Re: Update after the Convention

Update after the Convention:

The convention went off without any major incidents, so my fear of problems was unfounded; now comes the task of working out why, which requires a re-evaluation of the astrological factors active at the time.

My concerns were based on the malefics (Saturn and Mars) both being active by OA Direction with directed Mars conjunct the radix Asc, both conjunct angles in the profected chart and then Mars active by conjunction in both the maiora and minora esse coupled with Jupiter (LoY) being square both Saturn (distributor) and Mars in the radix.

Looking at these again:
  • directed Saturn (distributor and strongly determined to the career) square the directed nodal axis falling across the 5th/11th did indicate a critical event in the life connected to friends, supporters (11th) and elections (5th). The event was critical to her life, directly concerned her career and played out in the 9th (publicity on the world stage)
  • Jupiter (LoY) squares to Saturn and Mars fall in ineffective degrees in the radix, in the profected chart they hit the 10th and 4th cusps; so I think it was reasonable to take them as indications of a heightened sense of threat (square, malefics) from hidden enemies (12th) towards the native (Jupiter LoY); particularly as directed Mars was conjunct the radix Asc, and the possibility of violence (Mars) during the convention was high on the agenda (the convention had very tight security) but violence against her, personally, did not erupt. Why? Because Jupiter is essentially a benefic? Because it was not involved in a harsh aspect at the maiora/minora levels? And neither was Mercury, the radix Asc ruler, or the Asc degrees themselves?
Directions-Convention-2024.png Directions-Convention-2024.png Viewed 1825 times 261.57 KiB
This last observation strikes me as the most likely reason; no hard aspects to the Ascendants or their rulers, no direct threat against her person. In the Worsdale chart studies, harm to the body was nearly always accompanied by directions to the Asc or Asc ruler.

By comparison, Trump's directions on the date of the assassination attempt, July 13:
  • Mars is closely connected to his radix Asc and in the profection, it was in the 6th conjunct the 7th in opposition to the profected Asc and in the maiora it was critical and conjunct his radix Asc
  • his directed Asc (26 GE) was square directed Neptune (26 CA) with radix Neptune in the 2nd determined to the 8th by opposition and in the maiora, Neptune was conjunct directed Neptune (Neptune associated with assassins)
  • his minora Saturn (profected Asc ruler) was trine his radix Sun (radix Asc ruler)
So a violent planet strongly connected to his Asc was involved in a harsh aspect (opposition) with his profected Asc while a potential malefic (Neptune) was involved in a harsh aspect with his directed Asc and his radix Asc ruler and profected Asc ruler were involved with each other; luckily for him, by an easy aspect.

Overall, the conjunctions and sextiles put a spotlight (conjunction, 10th, Sun, Moon) on Harris, giving her an opportunity (sextile) to make a public appearance (MC) and voice her opinions (9th) which is in line with a directed 3rd house Mars conjunct her Asc; a Mars whose effect I misread a violence against her person. Live and learn, hopefully.

Jane, as astrologers, aren't we always living and learning?!!
The convention went off without any major incidents, so my fear of problems was unfounded; now comes the task of working out why, which requires a re-evaluation of the astrological factors active at the time.
The Convention was actually a glorious and happy very upbeat event. I'd say that HOPE and JOY were the overriding moods of the Convention: Jupiter, with the Moon which is so prominent in Kamala Harris' current July 31 sidereal ennead: Ascendant: 17 Tau 06; Jupiter 20 Tau 11; Moon 25 Tau 47 (exalted in Taurus). And Mars above the ascendant: 13 Tau 06 in the Moon's star, Rahu sub. (Krishnamurti ayanamsa) This entire complex is in a Moon star, exalted Moon's sign of Taurus, and the Moon itself is a prime benefic for Kamala Harris' natal chart.

(Oh, the Moon itself is in a star of Mars, not the Moon's star.) The elevated Saturn in this chart can well represent the tremendous responsibility of a presidential role. But Saturn (ennead Jupiter star, Mercury sub) itself is very well placed in its own sign of Aquarius on the 9th cusp in Kamala Harris' natal chart. Saturn is a benefic for Kamala's natal chart.

Most Modern astrologers designate Jupiter to the Democrats, certainly Rick Levine suggests Jupiter and most other major astrologers follow suite. Dunlop was largely trained by traditional astrologers and not really anywhere near as respected as Rick Levine is in the astrology world. It's big fish v little fish and Archie is comparatively small fry I'm afraid. At any rate he is wrong and not for the first time! I think mainly it boils down to a typical Modern v Traditional dispute although its probably not quite as black and white with maybe some defectors on both sides. Nowadays Dems are Jupiter and I doubt very much if this is simply a fad or trend, most probably its here to stay and any Saturn association will fade away with time. To summarise, the Democrats are primarily linked with Jupiter, reflecting its focus on growth, broad-mindedness. social justice, and progressive ideals. In contrast the Republicans are commonly symbolised by conservatism, tradition, and order. Common sense really. :)

Archetypal politics enables us to view differences between political parties as expressions of fundamental ordering principles in the Universe. Republican/conservative policies emphasize two primary values—self-reliance and personal responsibility, which can be grouped under the archetypes of Aries and Capricorn. Democrat/liberal policies are inspired by values of compassion and fairness, which are ruled by Pisces and Libra- Glen Perry
