Note: Steinbrecher quotes him 4/1990, with time 8:27. In a video interview with Chris Brennan on 23 September 2021 Rick stated that he found his birth certificate recently, and quoted it with 8:32 am birth time.
My feeling when I look at his chart is that he is closer to 8:27 than 8:32. That would put the ME/UR = MC and the JU/MC = UR/AP closer in his chart.

What striked me at first is the 3 planets involved in the UR/AP midpoint
Zeus, Cupido and Venus = powerful love marriage, the sense of community and the need for an extended family.
Venus/Cupido confers an artistic sense and showing her interest for visual astrology and designing softwares.

She has many personal midpoints in the Uranus/Apollon midpoint.
SU/AR - AS/AR - AS/UR
Full time astrologer since 1980, she saw 15 clients a week plus taught four to five classes a week until 1993 when she reduced her client load and did more lectures. Not surprising with the SU and AS in combination with the Aries Point. (She meets the world).

Several midpoints involving Hades
HA/KR - JU-HA - HA/ZE
Hades represents the far past and deep research in ideas and writings, with her many diplomas in Anthropology and Egyptology. It shows the importance of discrimination and scrutiny of the past.
The Hamburg School has HA=UR/AP and is a good example of the importance of research in this astrology midpoint.

A very personal midpoint MC/Admetos seals the deal with qualities of firmness, perseverance and steadfastness and a desire to go back to the primary cause of things.

I've been able to rule out being a professional astrologer now, I think, as no major entities/points/midpoints connect with UR/AP in my chart. I'm not surprised really. It will remain a fascinating hobby though.

Any idea about which midpoint would indicate success as a writer of fiction? I've tried ME/SA but I think in my chart it just means "no money".

I've been able to rule out being a professional astrologer now, I think, as no major entities/points/midpoints connect with UR/AP in my chart. I'm not surprised really.

Don't forget to look at ME/UR which is the other combination for astrologers.
UR/AP can be described as expansion (AP) in the field of science, technical, mathematical (UR) and that includes astrology.


Combinations for writers
SU+ZE-ME - SU/ZE connected to ME puts you in the limelight, an authority in the field of ME
Connections with ideas, speech, books
NO+PO-ME

ME/SA connected to personal points can indicate an ogre, a glutton or a gannet (slang), excellent for research, concentration, a busy mind so to speak.
But it is also related to 'travelling' or 'departures' like 'saying goodbye', cutting off a relationship, a conversation or a communication.
Another approach is to take time to relax and empty the mind from time to time, to withdraw from the traffic of life. Whatever planet in the midpoint can offer clues as to how. With MA woodcarving, VE painting, artistic activity, NE meditation.

Don't forget that astrology midpoints (JU/AP or ME/UR) can present itself through a transiting or solar arc midpoint.
Apollon takes 576 years to go around the zodiac.
The longest is Poseidon - 740 years. It was at 4 Sco in 2000 and now it is at 16 Sco.
The shortest is Cupido - 262 years.
So, essentially the Uranian planets move about 1/2 to 1 degree per year.
