Here was my diurnal today
- Transiting JU exactly trine my natal PL (other people's money)
- And the MO is joining JU
Double transit over a favorable natal position - Check
- The MO rules my diurnal 2nd House and my natal SU is right on the cusp.
-------------
Script:
MO-JU is culminating @ 12h30 yet the MO is 31' away from JU
The aspect is partile @ 13h23
- nor transiting MO-JU nor natal PL are connecting to a House cusp between 12h30 and 13h23.
- No anyPlanet/AS or anyPlanet/MC connecting by Direct Midpoint to MO-JU or PL
- And Fortuna is not helping either. It will contact PL but way past the MO over JU.

At this point, I fall back on the culmination @ 12h30 expecting a small gain by Angular position and a 31' applying MO. All throughout natal PL is rising.
So, playing until and shortly after the aspect becomes exact.
-----------
Result:
I won a reasonable gain at 12h30 enough to play safe not expecting more than I had anticipated.
When the aspect MO-JU became exact, I won a jackpot. $$$
Why? Looking back, the only reasonable explanation I have found is the Part of Spirit (Daimon AS+MO-SU) conjunct natal PL when the aspect became exact.
This has been one of my approach in my research.
I looked up at a very favorable position and watched if something happened during a limited timeframe. And then, looked up, if winning, what was going on over that position.
Another area of investigation or something to include in my toolkit. The Part of Spirit is always equidistant from Fortuna to the AS on the other side.
I do not have all the answers, I am still observing and learning at every step.
With a 5th House in Capricorn, timing is everything with Lady Luck.

A word on zodiacal degrees
-----------------
Every zodiacal degree has a relationship to your natal chart.
I have a spreadsheet telling me what kind of relationship.
For example with my chart 4 Aries
- At 4 Aries 20, I have the Mars/Jupiter midpoint Direct.
This is a lucky midpoint
MA/JU = Successful activity for justice or money. Fortunate acccomplishments.
A transiting midpoint with planets in hard aspect to this point is a green signal. And this can be any type of midpoint like SU/MO, ME/MA etc except the ones involving Saturn and Neptune.
You need to put this midpoint Angular or in the midpoint A/M or the transiting or natal planets involved Angular.
-------------
- A transiting planet at 4 Aries also creates another midpoint 4 Aries/natal SU = 25 Tau 35
25 Tau 25 makes a square to my natal VE which translates to
VE=MA/JU Successful and pleasant activity. Fortunate and collaborative accomplishments.
Should my natal SU be receiving a transit and let's say JU, it then becomes
4 Aries/natal SU-transiting JU = 25 Tau 35
As a result, I would look when the AS or MC or A/M reaches 4 Aries or 25 Taurus
---------------
If you look up at every degree of the zodiac this way, you will discover new relationships to your own chart.
On a side-note, if I meet someone with a pleasant planet at 4 Aries or 4 Libra, this can be a fruitful relationship.
Blessings!

Here is an hypothesis I am currently working on
The Part of Fortune involves the 3 most personal points in our chart
AS, Sun and Moon
Fortuna can be viewed as the AS of the Moon. And we know that in Horary Astrology, the Moon is what makes things happen. It is the universal distributor between the planets.

In fact, the Parts are another way to look at midpoints.
"Uranian Astrology is a mathematical astrology, because symmetrical structures can be mathematically proven in equations which are calculated as equal sums a+b, half sums (a+b)/2, differences a-b or sensitive points a+b-c".
"Rules for Planetary Pictures", 2012 p. 22
Half sums are the midpoints and sensitive points are the formula for Parts.
------------
In the chart above, the aspects in the circle are the degrees in the zodiac when the Moon makes a sextile, a trine or an opposition (a conjunction to my 2nd House cusp) to my natal 8th House.
The orb I am using is 30' for the Moon and 15' for other planets (I do not have a definitive stand on the orb but I know that 45' is too wide and the closer the better)
Now, when this happens during the month, the question is what are the transiting AS or FOR doing in relationship to our natal chart.
In a previous post, I told you I ran a report for 2023 when planets were aspecting my natal 8th.
I came up with 59 hits.
In the example chart, I won a good amount online because the Moon was conjunct my natal 8th at the same time that FOR was conjunct my natal Jupiter. The AS not doing anything by a 1 degree orb. Now when I say 'a good amount', I mean it happened by a cascade, like multiple wins, building up on something. And this is what the Moon does, it opens up the gates like going up by leaps and bounds.
Question. What does Fortuna has to do with it?
Well, if we consider Fortuna as being the AS of the Moon, it may very well point to where the change, the increase or the action is taking place. But it is a two-way thing, it is not just Fortuna over my natal Jupiter but Fortuna over Jupiter while the Moon is conjunct my natal 8th.

What I am unsure of is
Let's say your natal 8th falls in Taurus with Venus the ruler with the transiting Moon conjunct your 8th. I am leaning on Fortuna over natal or transiting Venus.
Or still, Fortuna over any natal planets, AS, MC or natal house cusps. Does it qualify the nature of the Moon over your 8th House?

We could repeat the exercise with the Moon over a natal planet and checking what the AS and Fortuna are doing. Many hypothesis but interesting to investigate.
And currently checking 3 Parts
Part of Fortune AS + MO - SU (day) AS + SU - MO (night)
Part of Spirit (or Daimon) AS + SU - MO (day) AS + MO - SU (night)
Part of Victory, Triumph, Aid AS + SP - JU
================
Additional comment:

In my research, I use the Topocentric House system although I started with Koch, then switched to Placidus which eventually led me to Topocentric.
And I am not saying that this is the only House system coherent with winning. So many factors to consider like the place where you live and how the sky is organized at your location. Like a photographer using different lenses to capture what he is looking at. And it is very possible that another House system can explain winning in a different way.
=================
Second additional comment:
Now, if you look at the chart above, imagine for a moment that there is another planet in sextile or trine to the Moon while the Moon is conjunct your 8th House, Bingo! You are in business and the potential for winning a large sum is a green green green signal.
A double transit adds more power to the picture even more so if it is Jupiter.

Handling hard aspects to natal planets
---------------------------------------------------
When you have a planet making a hard aspect to your natal chart, you have several possibilities.
In the example chart in 2022, I had transiting Jupiter making a square to my natal Mars (90 Wheel - Orb 9 minutes).
The square activates all my natal Mars midpoints and the transiting Jupiter midpoints.
In this case, you want to see when your natal Mars midpoints or the transiting Jupiter midpoints will come in conjunction or opposition to the transiting AS or MC or A/M (180 Wheel)
The more contacts, the better.
If I have to choose between a contact to natal or transiting, my preference goes to transiting.
If I have to choose which planet in hard aspect to my natal chart - Jupiter, Jupiter and Jupiter.
Besides AS, MC or A/M contacting your natal chart, you have to watch the transiting JU/AS and JU/MC midpoints. Very good midpoint.
If one of the planets contacted (natal or transiting) happens to be Angular at the same time, it adds up to the potential for winning a larger sum.

I would need a program to give me all that in one snapshot.

I won a jackpot when
transiting AS = natal MA/AS and transiting ME/JU
transiting MC = natal SU/MA
transiting A/M = transiting JU/FOR
transiting JU/MC = natal MA/JU
Blessings!

Lottery winner

In 'The Annual Diagram as an Aid in Life', p. 86, Reinhold Ebertin presents an article by Mrs Gerta Laurent from "Kosmobiologie" Vol 35, No 4, 1968 in which she writes as follows: "A woman, born on December 9, 1922 at 4:45pm at 12E29 and 50N43, won the grand prize in the lottery on the weekend of April 2, 1960."
I have found the city of Schonheide in Germany to be the closest and have adjusted the time to keep the AS and MC as stated in the article.

Image
Natal
Sun=Jupiter/AS - The fortunate person in her environment and Jupiter ruling the 10th
Mars=Sun/Jupiter - Day of fortune, fortunate action with the Sun ruling the 2nd and Mars the 5th
Uranus=Jupiter/Pluto - Sudden and surprising luck.
Ruler of the 2nd House in the 5th

Solar Arc
Image
The article said that on Apr 2, 1960 she won between 200 to 300,000 marks (about the same in Euros and about $100 to $150,000 US).
'There was a big celebration and the couple had the possibility of buying their own home and new furnishings, as well as a larger car, and indulging in a trip to the Mediterranean every year, and of fulfilling other wishes. Seven years later, a new phase of 'counting pennies' became necessary, in order to have something left for their old age.'

By Solar Arc, the Sun activated Uranus=Jupiter/Pluto and the natal AS.
And the Solar Arc Uranus=Jupiter/Pluto activated natal Saturn ruling the natal 8th House, which can be read as a break from her financial status or a large fluctuation with money.

Diurnal
Image
With Neptune in her 2nd House, she is prone to daydreaming about money, forgetting her belongings and moving things around frequently.
She won on April 2nd but it's not until April 5th that she found out she had won by reading it in the paper.
On April 5th, natal Saturn was on the cusp of the 2nd House in trine to Mercury her diurnal ruler AS and MC.
Her diurnal AS at 24 Vir 47 was
- conjunct NN (she celebrated with others)
- sextile Venus ruling her diurnal 2nd and natal 5th in Scorpio which in turn trined transiting Venus on the cusp of the diurnal 7th and natal MC (becoming famous and celebrated by others)

In her book 'Forecasting with New, Full & Quarter Moons through the Houses' Sophia Mason shows how to read the lunations.
Hard aspects to natal planets indicate difficult handling of the prevailing situation. Including the conjunction because of the stressful aspect between the Sun and Moon. Sextile and trines, a favorable outcome to a situation.

Orb
NM (month) and FM (2 weeks)
5 degrees to natal
10 degrees to transiting
QM (1 week)
1 degree to natal
2 degrees to transiting
------------------------------
In an article published in the AFA, Today's Astrologer, Vol.44, #3 in 1982 she says there is one exception. If the lunation (NM,FM,QM) is in Pisces, 12th House, aspect a planet in the 12th or to natal or transiting Neptune, events may be kept hidden from you or you may hear about it later.
She also said that "the students, during the eleven years of teaching astrology at Valley Forge High School in Parma, OH, invariably chose the Quarter Moons a one of their most favored means of forecasting trends."
------------------------------
Now this may seem simple but it is a good way to get a general feel about a short period of time.
Let yourself be guided by the diurnal to the planets being highlighted from the lunations.
My overall take on this is that I will also consider the lunar phase. A rule of thumb is that if the transiting Moon is in sextile or trine to the transiting Sun, things will flow more easily as opposed to hard aspects where you have to fight. If you happen to have natal JU or a lucky JU midpoint in the midpoint of a lunation then put JU, SU or MO Angular. Check the midpoints SU/MC - MO/MC or JU/MC to fine tune the hit.
Blessings!

DIURNAL
My diurnal for the day shows the diurnal 8th House conjunct my natal MC (Topocentric). And transiting ME is trining this position from the cusp of my natal 2nd House. Venus ruler of the diurnal AS and 8th (natal MC) is in the diurnal AS.

THE STAGE

In the picture above, using a 45 Wheel, I will set the start time when MA is within 5' orb of my natal JU which is around 9h19 up to around 14h when it will separate by 2'.

The MC, AS, midpoint A/M move average 15 degrees per hour
The midpoints Planet/AS and Planet/MC moves half of that, so 7 to 8 degrees per hour.

--------------------
THE ACTORS

MA will travel in the 9th, be on the cusp of the 8th around 12h30 and become Angular after.
The AS will travel from Sco to Sag and the MC from Leo to Vir.

So I want to know when the AS, MC, A/M, Planets/AS and Planets/MC will go over this MA-JU conjunction. For this I run a report with Solar Fire.
The midpoints MA/AS and MA/MC are like handles carrying the influence of this MA-JU conjunction and are the most important ones to watch.
A midpoint activation with a planet Angular is more important and can increase the prize.

---------------
1) tMA conjunct nJU is transiting in the midpoint JU/PL (to plan successfully). Which is a big plus, it adds up the chance of winning a larger prize. And MA is offering a window opportunity of about 4 hours.
2) In red, you have the midpoints that can hurt you or deny a good opportunity of winning (NE/AS, NE/MC, SA/AS, SA/MC). More so if Neptune or Saturn are angular at the same time.
3) MA being conjunct natal JU, the most important midpoints to follow are MA/AS and MA/MC in green.
4) These are the most important midpoints to watch.
This does not cover all the possibilities but you will be able to separate the wheat from the chaff. Check Angularity.

THE OUTCOME

09h23 $$$
MC= tMO/MA = tJU
A/M = tMA/UR nJU/AS
MA/AS = tVE/MA = MA/PL

09h43 $$$
AS= tMA/UR
MA/AS = nMO/JU

11h23 $$$
AS = just pass tSU/MA
A/M = nSU/JU
MC = tJU/AS = tFOR = nMO/JU = nUR

11h32 $$$$ The best (chart below)
AS = tMA/NN = nMC-PL
A/M = nJU/UR = nSU
MC = tJU/UR
MA/MC = tSU/JU
MA/AS = tMA/UR = nVE/JU = nMO
And the most important midpoint activation was
UR/AS = nVE and the tMA cj nJU while UR was setting on the cusp of the 7th
And this hit was right on my diurnal 8th/natal MC for the day.

There were 6 additional wins leading up to 14h
The End
--------------------
Essentially, I am zooming in at a very narrow part of my chart.
Regarding the Transneptunians, I am still investigating what role they play and the one that seems to stand out is Apollon as it relates to economy, greatest success and expansion. Its symbol is a combination of Jupiter and Gemini. The midpoint MC/AP reads as to possess psychic wealth, glory and success for the native. A successful moment.

Hard aspects will make you competitive and are the most important aspects leading to success.
The lesson hard aspects bring is 'experience' which is the sum of our failures and the courage to move forward with this knowledge.

When I was searching for winning times, I knew that 'hard aspects' were a good starting point.
If you have your SU = MA/JU midpoint, it spells success. Should you find SA/NE or VE/ME in the same midpoint, it can show different areas of success.
SA/NE = health and healing. This midpoint is refered to sickness but it is also related to healers and mediums.
ME/VE = creative writing or artistic ability.
The nature of planet combinations and the ones in hard aspect will prevail.

I have a separate listing for each planet and midpoints on the 45 Wheel and absolute degree on the 360 degrees circle.
When judging a midpoint and surrounding midpoints, use a 30 minutes orb.

Now, if you go over each midpoint, you can give a rating to each by looking at the accompanying planets and midpoints surrounding it.
Check Part of Fortune and Part of Spirit.

I have already mentioned the importance of Jupiter being activated but what if you have the Sun squaring your natal Mercury on a given day? How can you approach this for winning?
45 Wheel
1) Light up the transiting Sun and all the transitings Sun midpoints.
2) Light up the natal Mercury and all natal Mercury midpoints.

Take the transiting AS/SU and MC/SU and see if there is a time when these 2 midpoints will conjunct... (45 Wheel)
1) a transiting SU midpoint (think SU/JU but it could be any JU midpoint as a companion to the SU midpoint)
2) a natal ME midpoint (think ME/JU - same as above)
3) a powerful transiting position (for example transiting Mars squaring Jupiter where the transiting AS/SU or MC/SU is going over this midpoint.
4) Very strong if a transiting Sun midpoint = a benefic natal Mercury midpoint with JU or a JU midpoint in the picture (orb of 5 minutes).

The AS/SU and MC/SU midpoints travelling about 1 degree every 8 minutes (more or less depending on short or long ascension), you have a window of opportunity in that time frame. You can always fine tune it by looking at the Angles or other midpoints involved.
Check transiting AS, MC, A/M and Angularity. A/M is interesting to watch as it can trigger a Paran by Angularity.
You can note midpoints forming Parans in your natal chart.

As astrologers we learn to combine 2 factors (aspects). Midpoints are similar and when you find a planet in the midpoint, think that you are looking at a T-square.
Ebertin and the Rulebook have an interpretation for each combination.

About the 5 minutes orb:
You can extend it if you want especially with the Moon but my experience is that the payout is better when closer to exact.

Re: Winning with Midpoints and Diurnals – A case study

When a planet is conjunct or in hard aspect to Saturn or Neptune on any given day, the midpoints of the planet and Saturn or Neptune will be interwoven.
Like right now with Jupiter square Saturn.

What does it mean?
Be cautious for what comes in (Jupiter) goes out (Saturn).
And if you follow the sequence on the 45 Wheel, you have 2 scenarios.

A Jupiter midpoint is preceding a Saturn midpoint.
You can win but stop. Otherwise, you can loose it all especially if Saturn is aspecting your natal chart.

A Jupiter midpoint is following a Saturn midpoint.
Play minimum or not at all until the activation to Saturn is over. And then, you can win.
Normally, you can reduce the orb close to exact.

Another view is to check when Jupiter or Saturn will cross the Angles during the day to see around what time the influence of these planets will be felt more strongly.
Blessings!
