"Love" horary - faster planet vs. receptive planet 1 by moonbright Hello: Uranus is transiting my Venus again and true to form (this has happened before during a UR-VE transit) I developed a crush on someone half my age. I was "crushing" on him from afar this time because he's got a big ol' wedding ring on his finger but then he seemed to start noticing me, which prompted me to cast a chart. Before I thought of casting a chart I was thinking about the possibility of asking him whether he does voice work as I have a creative project on the go that might require that and his speaking voice is very nice and would probably record well. I wouldn't be surprised if he sang as well. Planetary hour is Venus with Libra on the ASC, the degree is good and there are no other Considerations Before Judgement which are applicable. I'm Venus @ 00 Pisces in the 5th applying to a quincux with his Mars @ 01 Leo retrograding back to the aspect in the 10th house. Mars in Leo in 10 is a very accurate description - he has wonderful red hair and a beard and is in his workplace. I'm not sure how the universe decided I look fabulous as an exalted Venus (beautiful beyond compare) but I'll take the compliment, accurate or not, lol. He is peregrine and retrograde, yet accidentally fortified. He's under heavy affliction from Pluto and Neptune, rulers of his 8th and 12th respectively. I am exalted, direct, in my joy in 5, and conjunct Formalhaut. And also under stress from tight orbs with Pluto and Neptune, rulers of my 2nd and 6th. The Moon, my other significator, is @ 25 Aquarius in the 5th house and Void of Course. Sun and Venus are semi-square by 2 degrees. Perhaps it should be noted too that Mars is Out of Bounds (declinations) at this time. Mars receives Venus by triplicity but Venus does not receive Mars. When this aspect perfected I did talk to him but only about tech stuff, which is his job. So my interpretation is: he is interested in a relationship ?outside of his marriage but I am not as indicated by the reception from him but none from me, even though mine is the faster planet. Some questions: 1. My planet is the faster one, which would suggest that I am the more keen on a "relationship" but my significator does not receive his and yet his does? Does this happen often? And what does is mean? Is he actually interested in a relationship? As long as he is married, I am not at all interested in being in a relationship of any kind other than something work-related. 2. William Lilly, in Christian Astrology refers to Mars in the 10th as showing "ill in marriage" (from Temples in the Sky, Deborah Houlding, ? page) ?He's interested in an affair because of a "bad" marriage? 3. I'm concerned about the look of the turned chart. Again, in Temples of the Sky there is a quote from ?Olivia Barclay which says that connections between the 4th, 8th, and 12th house could mean the individual is in despair. So is he OK or no? 4. I cast another chart yesterday and came up with the same significators which again are applying, this time to a trine, with a similar reception profile. Which means???? I've actually been avoiding his workplace because I feel uncomfortable now. 5. Is a good voice indicated by the North Node in Aries, within 5 degrees of the DSC? Thanks for any feedback! The Moon is opposing Jupiter. Don't get involved, it's their problem. Jim Critchfield Quote Fri Jan 24, 2025 3:31 am
Re: "Love" horary - faster planet vs. receptive planet 2 by Tanit3333 Hello, Is there a chart we can look at? I don't like to answer questions related to a chart without seeing it. One big issue is that often the questions themselves that are raised by a chart art incorrect and I have no way to know that or not without seeing the chart. I will say that typically Uranus transit Venus relationships usually end as quickly as they begin, as one would expect. Quote Tue Feb 04, 2025 4:47 am

Re: "Love" horary - faster planet vs. receptive planet 4 by Tanit3333 1. Most traditional horary users would not look at reception without a Ptolemic aspect. I've seen some very persistent horary readers who do but, ultimately, reception should be describing an aspect. Here there is aversion. This suggests lack of commonality between you, like a wall, where you don't understand one another on a basic level. I suspect your placement in Pisces in the 5th plays into this, as often this can indicate some level of fantasy, where you might have imagined a lot of the things you described and if someone were to ask him, he would have a completely different story. I think his lack of aspect shows lack of interest in moving forward but his significator likely enjoys attention from women and that might be what you noticed. His retro movement towards his fall suggests some further ambiguity at best in his behavior. It may just be that he falls out of favor with you too though, because Mars becomes damaged goods in its fall. 2. William Lilly, in Christian Astrology refers to Mars in the 10th as showing "ill in marriage" (from Temples in the Sky, Deborah Houlding, ? page) ?He's interested in an affair because of a "bad" marriage? I don't think his significator shows he's moving towards having an affair. I think his significator mainly just shows he is someone who likes attention. If he was reciprocating what you are wanting, I would at least expect a sextile at the min between significators. I think his placement suggests there could be trouble for you somehow publicly or in the workplace if you were to try to address this issue with him though. 3. I'm concerned about the look of the turned chart. Again, in Temples of the Sky there is a quote from ?Olivia Barclay which says that connections between the 4th, 8th, and 12th house could mean the individual is in despair. So is he OK or no? I don't see these connections. I doubt they were talking about outer planets. I think the Pluto opp likely deals with his need to win others over with his charm and physical appearance. There is often some level of competition there, which might stem from some inferiority issues he has internally, perhaps? Mars-Neptune trines are all about charm and they can certainly be confusing to the beholder in how they bedazzle them. The actor Sam Heughan came to mind when you described this man. Many famous sex symbol men have this placement. I have it in natal myself with Venus/Mars conjunction trining it, and I can't tell you how many men have thought I was interested in them simply because I have charm. 4. I cast another chart yesterday and came up with the same significators which again are applying, this time to a trine, with a similar reception profile. Which means???? I've actually been avoiding his workplace because I feel uncomfortable now. I'm curious why you would feel the need to ask again? The more a person asks, the more ambiguous the symbolism may become. If you cast a chart that shows aversion and then another one that trines, that is certainly confusing and won't help answer your question. 5. Is a good voice indicated by the North Node in Aries, within 5 degrees of the DSC? I look at the 2nd house/lord for the quality of the voice in western astrology. I'm still not sure what the horary question was? Are you asking if he will have an affair with you or will do voice work? Even if he would, would you want to have an affair with a married man? That's bound to create a lot of turmoil and negative karma in not only your life but his. SN on the ascendant often makes me think of negative karma or repeating past behavior that doesn't serve the querent. NN on his ascendant and him being able to behold his own ascendant via trine suggests he will probably behave well and has some level of control over himself. Quote Sun Feb 16, 2025 8:07 am
Re: "Love" horary - faster planet vs. receptive planet 5 by moonbright Hi Tanit: I had written a lengthy reply and it disappeared, so here's the short version. Thanks very much for your assessment. I really appreciate it. I didn't/don't want a romantic entanglement with someone married. I had a tiny crush on this guy and thought it would subside, as they do, but then his behaviour changed and I got confused because I had a stalker, who had only been an acquaintance, a few months earlier. So I cast the chart "what is he up to?" And when that came up as Venus and Mars, that just confused me even more because I think of Venus and Mars as romantic relationships primarily. Cue the overthinking! Thanks again. moonbright The Moon is opposing Jupiter. Don't get involved, it's their problem. Jim Critchfield Quote Sun Feb 16, 2025 10:06 pm
