Hi James - absolutely agree with you. I wonder too whether the moment of greatest risk and concern is the first quarter of the year. Certainly, as you point, a cardinal degree rising in the Aries ingress indicates short-lived impact. However, I share Deb's view that the Aries ingress is broadly applicable for the full twelve months. It will be an interesting test of this piece of astrological lore.

on a related note - this whole security structure of europe, and the concept of nato's role here is definitely under the microscope... i made a post on the solar return for the chart i like to use for nato and the prognosis is not positive for the security alliance... some might like to consider this, in relation to this focal mars on the ascendant of some of the capitals in and around europe..

In terms of the local horizon map, Mars rising in Qom is just above the horizon at this place.

This nuclear facility, which is buried deep underground, can only be attacked with the support of the US Air Force by deploying stealth bombers carrying 30000lb bombs.

This ingress looks like it is still very relevant to the mundane astrology of the moment.
