So I like to push Astrology to limits and here's a Question that probably has been rattling around in the back of my brain for some time.

A few years ago I was living abroad and things had been going pretty well. Then they went completely Ts up.

Still NOT really sure what happened or why it happened.

So I know we can use Horary to see hat happened in the past.

What do I see ?

So we are looking at what was or seperating aspects and it comes as absolutely NO SUPRISE to see my old friend McAlgol seperating from Mercury.

And also McAlgol seperating from MC.

Chiron has just left the square to Algol as well and the square to Mercury.

There is a VERY tight square to the cluster of planets Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune.

Further more this chart is INCREDIBLY CLOSE to the zodiac house positions for my birth chart.

However, I don't really see what happened or why.

Was it just that Mercury got too close to Algol.

ie I strayed to close to Evil ?

Where I was living was a pretty Dark place I'd admit.

But what triggered the collapse ?

OR loss in position.

PS I'll come back to this one tomorrow as I find it's best to sleep on it and that's why I often post questions without too much of an answer, NOT least to let others find their own way without being cluttered by my insights

Anyway, if we are dealing with a 10th house then Taurus has just left the cusp. Venus is in detriment in Aries.

Venus is in Mercury's terms and Mercury is in Venus's sign.

Moon also exalted.

This is where I struggle abit.

My public position was in detriment?

How would we read the reception between the significators?

Is Mercury being received into detriment?

So was there a sort of combination of factors pulling me down?

True.

I'd imagine it was more poor little old Venus already struggling being received by Algol dominated Mercury.

I've read plenty on Algol but only feel that she's misunderstood. You know the old Medussa trapped in a smell cave waiting to be slain when perhaps she only needed some respect and love.

Must admit I'm still abit confused as to what happened and why.

Could that be because it's all abit of a taboo subject what ever it is?

Specifically I'd like to know abit more about what was going on for Mercury at the time.

Any insights most greatfully received.

I hope you won't get me wrong, but I don't really understand what it is that you're trying to pull out from this chart! I once posted a question about the charts cast for the questions concerning past events somewhere here on the forum and, apparently, not everyone shares the opinion that examining past through them makes a lot of sense (I'm not saying anyone said it was "illegitimate" - we can ask just about any question we like, both in Horary and in real life, only, the real question is- what do we need that answer for).
And, if the question is about a past event that might have had some kind of influence on the present situation, then, again- the construction of the question does not necessarily need to include past events (separating aspects would denote such influence).

Furthermore, I don't think many astrologers here would take Algol and outer planets so seriously and, finally- what is the question??? In order for it to be answered properly, we need to examine the placements and aspects of the main significators and, apart from you ie L1 (I guess it is you who is the Querent)- we don't know anything else. We'd have to know who or what the Quesited is so that we could examine the mutual influences if any! IMHO, you should start from the "nucleus" and allow the chart to lead you towards the broader picture rather than the other way around because, in this version, it seems like you're trying to get somewhere by starting from nowhere, sort of speaking! )))))

Also, if you really think that it was EVERYTHINKG that fell apart in a certain moment of your life, then Solar return chart might be of a great help! Have you checked it yet?

You do appear to be very puzzled even shocked at your at the loss of a position of work that has left you reeling and unabled to understand the reason behind your fall from grace. Is this correct? I recall in the past you said you were living on a mountain?

The malefic Fixed Star Algol is close to Mercury and the M/H as you say and you were in a dark place? Forget Chiron.

Mercury is your significator as is the Moon. The Moon is exhalted in Taurus
but Mercury isnt and is retrograde as well. What can you say of the 9th House emphasis here with both significators place within?

Well in my book Astrology is a tool and you use it as you like.

If seperating aspects tell us what what has just happened then clearly you can use them to explain past events.

Many professional Astrologers put alot of emphasise on the Fixed Stars.

Personally, I'd always involve outer planets as they add hue.


Truly I don't really know what happened but it was a loss of public position.

I find Horary excellent for throwing light on open situations ie what's going on here ?

You might follow it up with a more specific question.

I come back to this tomorrow but I'm still trying to find out the players involved in the crash and burn.

9th house is spot on as I was working as a Lecturer in an Advanced Education Institute but a pretty nasty one at that.

I think you'd have to consider that Taurus has just left the 10th cusp.

So it all adds up except I'd like to know about the players involved.

Which would lead onto a further question.

And again I think an intersting chart.

Don't like the inception of Aquarius in the 2nd house nor the NN on the cusp. But it would add up to what I've come to accept in that destiny played a big hand in this.

ie it was time to move on and up but seemed to involve a lot of hedges and going thru' them backwards.

Inceptions of signs for me are bad news. The sign is trapped and has to force it's way out. And I think it's interceptions.

Again in this chart as in the other I think the Moon is translating light between Saturn and Jupiter.

Yeh in both cases the light is being taken from Saturn in a trine to Jupiter in a Square.

I think that suggests there was a third party involved.

Anyway, I'll come back to it tomorrow.
