Should I create this translation company?

1
Hi folks

I work as a translator, and have been searching for means to improve my income. I work as a freelancer for publishers in my country, but I've been searching the web and found out I can work for translation websites if I create a small company and start to accept payment via paypal (paypal only allows payment for companies in my country, not individuals). So, I asked if I should create a small translation company, if it's a good idea, if it will be profitable and improve my income.

Here's the chart:

So I'm Jupiter and my money is also Jupiter, Jupiter is not well-placed in the 6th, since it's a house generally weak and ill, and the opposite house to the 12th, ruled by Jupiter. I suppose Taurus is a good sign for Jupiter, though, ruled by Venus in the same house. Venus rules the 12th and is placed in the 6th in her own sign. Could this amount of planets in the 6th be speaking of "service" instead of 'weakness"? Moon moves from a sextile to Mars (ruler of the 6th) to Venus, so perhaps it shows there will be work coming my way, but since venus rules the 12th I'm thinking this may become more of a problem than a solution. :-?

The company is the Sun in Gemini 7th house, and the company's profit (11th ruler) is Mercury, also in the 7th house. The sign of gemini is of course speaking of a company that provides services related to communication and idioms. That house got me a bit confused; the company is located in the house of "others", does it mean the company will be popular amongst clients? But the profit (mercury) is also in the house of others and rule also the 8th house, house of others' money, so how can this be? I tend to read this as... the company may be a lot more profitable to paypal and the translation websites I work for than to myself. Is that correct? Mercury and the Sun do not see me (jupiter). Nor does the moon. No money coming my way, don't you agree?

The Moon in the 8th is another thing that gives me a wary feeling. And finally Saturn perched in the 11th house of the companys profit, this doesnt bode well at all. Could someone give me a second opinion?:'

I did a chart recently for someone's company and my teacher advised me to use the 1st for the company, 2nd it's profit, 7th for the potential customers and the 10th for it's reputation/standing. As far as the chart I did goes, that worked pretty accurately.

I don't have much time at the moment because I'm heading out soon, so I can't look in depth into your chart but I thought maybe that information would help you.

Hi Konrad, thanks for the input, and that changes the whole scenario quite dramatically!

If the 10th is the company reputation, then I guess it will be a hoot, with Sun in the 7th and conjunct Mercury (the public), it's like running to the open arms of the crowd, lol!

As for profit, Jupiter as profit doesnt look like a bad idea at all, and in Taurus it suggests hoarding and accumulation, although the 6th house placement is still a bit of a nay-sayer, and the moon in the 8th still seems to demand caution. But this different reading really makes it all quite brighter and encouraging. I'll surf the web and look for other examples of business horaries. Thanks again!

I'd approach the chart pretty much like cosmicdolphin suggested - the house opposite to the Ascendant is most likely your clients or people whom you directly interact with through your work.
In case you have a business partner, this house would rule him too.
6th could be additionally examined as a house that rules clients i.e. persons who use your service.
The 2nd is your money and financial situation in general (investments should be examined through that house as it rules your pockets and all the money needed in order to establish a new business is most likely to come from there- unless, of course, you decide to take a loan).
The 11th rules the direct 'consequences' of your work- incomes included.

and the 10th rules the job itself.

And, unfortunately, i do have to agree that the Moon inside the 8th does not bode very well. But, did you, perhaps, think of taking a loan?

Hello

The Moon is within 5 degrees of the cusp so if the '5 degree rule' was in play then the Moon would be read as if it was in the 9th.

I think the house cusps of this chart are Placidus. If that's intentional then the chart should be read as it is, but I just wanted to raise the issue because I know my software always springs back to Placidus and I forget to change it to Regiomontanus which I use for horary.

I'll quickly jot down some initial thoughts I had --

Although Jupiter (ruling 1st and 2nd) shows a desire to start something new, I'm not sure that the 6th house is the best place to do it from.... Also, from Taurus Jupiter can't behold Sag, so isn't best placed for the 1st and 2nd houses and the chart would need to be examined to see if there's an alternative connection between them.

6th house is brought into focus as well by Moon's separating sextile with Mars, which is located in the 6th and rules Aries on the cusp of the 6th. Moon heading from Essentially weakened Mars to Essentially strengthened Venus is good, but still in 6th so cadent. In terms of starting a business, unless it's a 6th house-type business, I don't think I'd want cadency, nor would I want to be beneath the horizon if my business relied on me being seen 'out there'. (Mercury and Sun being angular are better for that.)

Obviously the Mercury and Sun in Gemini are very descriptive of a translation business. Placed opposite to the Ascending sign though, I'm not sure about the usefulness of that in this horary question?

Maybe the 7th and 9th house (if Moon is read as in 9th) show some kind of reaching out beyond national borders via the web.

Looking at the chart I started to think that the chart shows your capability but the circumstantial difficulties. It's as if it's not quite the right time, and you're looking for the right moment, the right interlocking of inner skill with outer opportunity, rather than the idea itself being ill-fitting or intrinsically wrong. It's as if the potential's there just trying to get out.

Regards

H.

Thanks everyone for the input, I really appreciate it.

hello handn, even though the Moon could be read as being 'nearly' into the 9th, I'll be prudent and not overlook the fact that it is still in the 8th. I ran a horary for another business venture (a shop) in 2009, it didn't look very promising but it had its pros. So I stuck to the pros and tried to underplay the contras, but yes, the business didn't go well and I had to close it last year, and only now Im getting rid of the debts, so I'll be extra-cautious like the scalded cat this time around.

Apart from that I agree with your insightful reading handn, I think it sums up the general feeling of the chart, it's as if there is potential for something good, it shows there will be clients and there is potential for being popular amongst the public, but all the conditions to start it are yet to be met.

Hi aglaya, I didn't think of taking a loan because it is a venture that will demand very little investment, so, all I need is to shape up my financial situation and I'll have all the money that is needed to start it. Now that you bring this up, I think this placement of Jupiter (as my sig and my money's sig) does show that I' not in financial shape yet to start anew. Jup being me and the money in the 6th seems to be pointing specifically to my indebted situation. Luckily, it's about to get better, in a couple of weeks. There's also a minor bureacratic glitch (registrations etc) I have to fix which is another consequence of the previous venture...

I'll get rid of these problems and then I'll run another horary and, perhaps, an electional. Thanks again everybody, you were very very helpful. :'

Hello, just wanted to add:

Handn, I ran the same chart in Regiomontanus and the only change in the chart were the cusps of the 2nd and 8th houses, which moved one degree and got into capricorn and cancer. This makes the moon in the 8th ruler of the 8th house, and Saturn in the 11th ruler of my 2nd house.

I guess Moon in the 8th and ruling the 8th reflects the money from the public, possibly abundant (moon in cancer), but not moving anywhere right now, and not coming to my pocket, it stays where it is.

Saturn, my money, in the 11th (profit from company) maybe showing how I have to first create the means through which the company will profit. My money being invested in the company's benefit, so to speak.

Last but not least (I guess I should've seen it right in the beginning, but my attention span is similar to a mosquito's), the ascendant is quite early, so I better let the idea mature a bit more.

Ok, whew, that's it. Thanks again everybody!
