Casting charts for family and friends 1 by Andrew Bevan Casting charts for family and friends Some of the most difficult horaries are when they come from relatives or close friends. Therefore I tend to try and shy them, the questions, but then the people involved tend to think I have a bias against them. It gets complicated, doesn?t it? If the astrologer attempts to help a close member of the family with astrological guidance, then there is emotional involvement, and a problem. If things don?t work out according to the querents wishes, then the astrologer has to deal with a court order in the future and maybe a life time sentence. I am sure you have all been there. However, here is a horary that worked out to the querents satisfaction and I am safe... for about a week, I reckon. Will I get the job contract? My spouse wants to know whether she will get a job contract at a psychriatric hospital. She was given a verbal confirmation in early Summer, two and a half months ago, but since then received nothing in writing. She has pressed for the contract on several occasions, yet the matter has continued to be pended and she is due to start in a weeks time. The question is asked on Friday, 23. September 2011, at 08.13 CEST (06.13 GMT), Asker 59N50, 10E26. It is the Day of Venus and the Hour of Mercury. Mercury rules the ascendant by triplicity, proving the chart radical and fit to be judged. This type of radicality seems good and promote any matter requiring friendship, cooperation, funding or finances. The resources may be found in the network or social circles. Venus, the lesser fortune, is on the ascendant and signifer of the querent. Her angularity is always an indication to expect better rather than worse. She is dispositor of the superiors, Jupiter and Saturn, which deal with her work and income and standing in the world. All seems good, yet Venus is close to the fixed star Vindemiatrix, that symbolizes a table with only 3 legs. There is a leg missing, so someone isn?t participating or contributing on equal terms and something is poorly balanced. It is true that if her employer does not provide the work contract as promised, then the balance of income that my spouse relies upon are truly jeopardized. The exaltation degree of Jupiter on the Midheaven was an indication to the positive. The Moon is co-significator in every question, and here she is located at 2Leo27 in the 10th house. I noticed that her number of degrees agreed with the time that had passed since the verbal agreement was first made. The Moon is Lady of the 10th in the 10th house of career and attainment. She applies to the body of Mars and needs only 6? of arc to complete the aspect. Mars is ruler of the 7th house and the 3rd house, which is the contract. If converting 1 degree into 1 month of time, this would mean that her contract was impending and would be received either that very same day on the Friday, or just over the weekend on the firstcoming Monday. This swiftness of delivery is also indicated by significators in angular houses. However, I noticed that the Sun, who was dispositor of both both the Moon and Mars, was in the 30th degree of Libra in the 12th house, so I added that she was safe but that matters may be decided in the very 12th hour. The querent, being an Aries (ie Moon conjunct Mars in a fire sign) was on me again on the Sunday and very displeased with the fact that matters yet not had been resolved. I had to point out, ?It is still Sunday and you have to let Monday get here first?? On Monday morning, she called her office and the news was that the contract had arrived, in fact, probably settled and delivered on the Friday. But the message was that the question regarding the assignment had been most uncertain and only become possible due to requirements and an allocation of funds in the very nick of time. So I may breath out and live safely, until the next week?. http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Sep 26, 2011 8:53 am
2 by Tanit Moon applying to Mars and Jupiter before Venus seems to be showing where the delay is/was occurring, and you mentioned contract and funding issues. The time difference between Moon and Venus might be the most telling regarding her start date. Will she be starting soon then? Normally I'd think the angles all cardinal and Venus right on the ASC would be quite swift, but Saturn has more dignity than Venus in the ASC in a day chart with Libra rising and Moon is in a fixed sign. So this could even take months. Hopefully not - hopefully the cardinal influences will be more key. I still wouldn't expect days (a week), though. Probably 7-8 weeks (a few months). I pretty much only cast charts for family and friends, so I don't seem to have this problem! I usually feel more uncomfortable reading for complete strangers. I am sure your wife is appreciative to have an astrologer as a husband when she has pressing issues. Quote Wed Sep 28, 2011 3:07 pm
3 by pankajdubey I had a very similar chart for a new job as a Consultant. 10th lord Moon was in 1st but Mars the 2nd lord was in 10th in fall. The interviewer asked me a question and I told him that his question was wrong and then he asked a second question which I though was stupid but answered it anyway. They even offered me the job but the pay on offer was three-quarters of what I had asked for with promise for a step-wise raise based on the the feedback of--the same individual who was asking the questions. I refused the job offer. The pay issue was probably due to the 2nd lord mars in fall.In the current horary the Moon is applying to a dignified Mars so it is unlikely the money matter but I was curious if the exalted saturn in ascendant could be a mischief maker. 4 by elumen Hi Andrew, is there an update to this chart yet? i think it has many mixed significators and it stroke me how similar it is to something I just recently ran for myself (but this one seems more positive than mine). However, Saturn in the first house (even dignified) does not promise a fast resolution to the matter or even the successful one, imo, but I'm curious to know what is going to happen. The fact that the moon applied to Mars is nice for the news and contact (Mars rules the 3rd house) but it is also the 7th House lord, so I'm not sure it "promises" your wife the work, I'd think it connects to the "other" more. But at the same time your wife's signifcator is dignified on the Asc, and the Moon will eventually sextile her, so I'd say (and I agree with Tanit's interpretation) at least 7-8 weeks if not longer for her to start working, but I wonder if it is going to work out b/c of Saturn's presence in the 1H, and b/c the Moon makes first an aspect with Mars (isn't that a prohibition?) This one is complex, and I (being an Aries sun) can relate to your wife's impatience (and to your predicament as a in-house astrologer), and hope things will work out the best for her! BTW, I do charts for my husband on a regular basis and for the rest of the family and friends, but I'm fortunate b/c I'm the Aries, and they are patient and nice! :-) Quote Fri Oct 28, 2011 1:18 am
