Antiscia, whole sign aspects, aversion 1 by AstroNovice I've been reading up on the three aforementioned concepts and I've been trying to integrate them the best that I can, however I still feel like there is a big gap in my knowledge. Basically my questions are: -Can the concept of antiscia and whole sign aspects be integrated together? Because from reading about antiscia I feel like they are implying that there must be some sort of geometric relationship between the two planets in question, as opposed to the signs of the planets themselves merely being in a (somewhat) compatible relationship. -Secondly, is the concept of antiscia compatible with the concept of aversion? The way I understand it thus far, antiscia/contra-antiscia can make it so that a planet is not considered in aversion from the house it rules. Is this an accurate understanding of the concepts? For me personally, my second house in is aries, and both its domicile, exalted and triplicity rulers are all both in virgo. So given this example, would my 2nd house still be considered in aversion? 2 by Olivia Aries and Virgo are still in aversion - at 150 degrees, they can't see each other. Antiscial points are solstice points (sort of like midpoints, but...not ). The signs for antiscial connection are as follows: Sag - Capricorn Scorpio - Aquarius Libra - Pisces Virgo - Aries Leo - Taurus Cancer - Gemini An antiscial point measures 30 degrees - it took me forever to get my head around that concept, but it's really simple. Say you have Mercury at 3 Aries and Saturn at 27 Virgo. Add 3 + 27 and you get 30 degrees. That makes an antiscial conjunction. It would work the same way if you had Mercury at 27 Aries and Saturn at 3 Virgo. Or Venus at 12 Leo and the moon at 18 Taurus. Again, the sum of the degrees adds up to 30, and the signs are antiscial. You can give it a couple of degrees leeway as long as you stay within the sign boundaries. Antiscial conjunction does tie the planets involved together, but unfortunately it doesn't save from aversion. If you were looking at whole sign aspects, then anything in Aries would be square to anything in Cancer, regardless of degree, trine to anything in Leo, regardless of degree, and so on. It's not the same thing as an antiscial conjunction. Hope this hasn't muddied the waters further for you! Quote Mon Dec 24, 2012 6:21 am
