13 by GB We now have the two day declarations, and have lost two possibles. For Mercury - Uranus, Impulsive Star had been suggested; it is now a non-runner. For Neptune, Isleofhopendreams was a possible; this is now third reserve so probably will not run. Noble Endeavor is still a runner and a possible pick. Now we have the list of runners it is worth putting in some serious thought ! Quote Thu Apr 04, 2019 12:48 pm

15 by woke satan There's several different 'aspects' that stand out for me in this chart. 5th trine Sun square Saturn, the Moon/Uranus conjunction, Mercury conjoined the 7th cusp and the separating sextile from Venus. I've categorised most of the runners - to my way of thinking, at least - into the following rulerships: Sun square Saturn: Noble Endeavour Vieux Lion Rouge Regal Encore Ultra Gold One For Arthur Rock The Kasbah Moon conjunct Uranus: Ballyoptic Outlander Magic Of Light Monbeg Notorious Mercury conjunct 7th Cusp (square Saturn): Walk In The Mill Up For Review The Young Master Vintage Clouds Step Back Separating sextile from Venus: Jury Duty Pleasant Company Tea For Two I'm currently favouring the Sun/Saturn horses as the Sun is Lord 12 and a horse is bigger than a goat. As it stands, my main selection would be Vieux Lion Rouge (Old Lion Red), who I believe has won under a Sun/Saturn combination in the past, at Haydock. Noble Endeavour is another that stands out, but only as a significator of the aspect and I agree with JupiterMk4, not necessarily on it's ability. However, luck is needed to win this race. Rock The Kasbah falls under both the Sun/Saturn and the Moon/Uranus rulerships. And before anyone flags it up, Tigers are ruled by Mars. All that's left to do now is pick a winner! 17 by john My each way options: Anibale Fly and Minella Rocco. If you want an Al-Kindi horse colour look for one with a tail lighter than its body. Good luck! C'est la vie, say astrologers, goes to show you never can tell. Quote Fri Apr 05, 2019 7:05 pm

19 by GB I have three EW bets mainly based on Sun/Saturn: Ramses de Teillee going by the Addey 5th cusp Sun and the colours carried of Yellow and Red (Sun, Aries and Lord of the Hour Mars). Noble Endeavor, again SU-SA, but I agree its form is suspect, but this is the Grand National, so anything might happen. Ultragold, again Sun, and the colours carried of red, yellow and black. 24 by woke satan .10p combination tricast from: Ballyoptic Noble Endeavour Vieux Lion Rouge Rathvinden Jury Duty Rock The Kasbah I'l be happy if any f them finish. I've also backed Monbeg Notorious on the strength of the trainer's quote; "A lot will depend on what mood he's in as he certainly isn't predictable. The trip should be right up his street."
