Here is a diurnal to illustrate an opposition being resolved by a 3rd planet.
JU ruling my diurnal AS and MC and sitting in the orb of my natal 2nd House. This looks promising.
But the MO ruling my 5th entering the AS will make an opposition to JU later today. This can create unwise circumstances reaching my goal (JU ruling my 10th).
But we have an ally here. VE ruling my diurnal 2nd House/in my natal 5th makes a triangular formation with the opposition, resolving the issue.

Midpoint
1) Put the planets Angular because when a planet crosses an Angle, if you have a midpoint activating a natal planet or midpoint, this is a green signal.
MO/JU (Happy hour) = natal UR/MC (moment of revelation) Orb 2'
MO/VE at 23 Aqu 28 = natal PL in Leo Orb 1'
2) Transits (hard aspects)
VE opp natal UR
JU cusp of 2nd House

Win - over a thousand K
Blessings!

Correction: This is the diurnal of Oct 21st and applies for 24h starting from my birth time.
This diurnal was almost hopeless and very hard to decipher.
JU ruling my diurnal 2nd cj my natal SA (co-ruler of my natal 5th)... and in the diurnal 12th.
How can you possibly be advancing with confidence in the smog?
The SU sends a sextile to my natal 5th, closer on the end of the switch to another diurnal.
With my ruler MA in Virgo, I was heading to the library and the MO will make a sextile to MA from the diurnal AS early on the following day.
Remembering that MA is in my natal 2nd House and in the diurnal 10th, a good combo.
Image
This win illustrates the benefit of JU when transiting a natal placement as it can be in the 1 degree orb for up to 2 days.
What you need to watch is the JU/MC or JU/AS travelling around the zodiac and try to match it to your significators. The average motion rate is 7 degrees every hour, slower in long ascencion signs, faster in short ascencion signs.
The MO just entering Sag is in sextile to MA (33' past). You can extend to 1 degree...ish.
The AS = SU/MO
MA = JU/MC (Good luck from one's own activity)
And both are linked on the 45d Wheel.
MA being my diurnal AS and the AS of the event chart.

On a $1 bet, almost a thousand K.
Blessings!

Diurnal 6 Mar 2009

The transiting SU ruling the diurnal 5th trine my natal SU on the cusp of the diurnal 4th.
And the MO will go over my natal SU.
My diurnal ruler VE is in my natal 8th. Being square to the MO, I prefer to let the aspect recedes early in the morning and go later.
In about 6 hours, mid-afternoon the MO will sextile SA ruler of the diurnal 10th in the diurnal 6th and co-ruler of my natal 5th. This almost looks like working from home via Zoom!
UR is on the cusp of my natal 8th and the MO will trine it later in the day.
I also note the diurnal AS trining FOR in my natal AS but I would not play on this aspect only.
---------
9 wins including 4 jackpots

In resume, I use soft aspects in the diurnal and hard aspects with the midpoints. Soft aspects will open up the gates and the hard aspects will create tension, stress, action and a rush of adrenalin. This is another subject of interest here. One way I have found to diffuse this energy is to engage in a physical activity (walk, run, get some physical exhaustion to get a release).
Should I use other angular distances? Maybe but I have not isolated specific aspects enough. And this is something that we all face as astrologers. We do not see something simply because we do not want to look at it. We have a selective memory and more so, a memory that comforts our point of view. Social medias and algorithms have demonstrated that enough in recent years.

Let me summarize 3 basic principles from Sophia Mason in her book 'The art of forecasting using diurnal charts' (p.51)
1) A lucky day is when a transiting or natal planet trines the diurnal AS from the 5th or 9th House
Note: Luck comes in many forms, it does not always spell $$$. See what house the planets involved rule as they answer the question Why you get lucky.
2) For even better luck, pick a day when the transiting or natal planet trining the diurnal AS also rules either the natal or diurnal 2nd or 8th house cusp.
Note: Or is in the 2nd or 8th house
3) Another excellent day for winning large sums is when the natal or transiting ruler of the natal or diurnal 2nd or 8th house cusp also has the opportunity to conjunct either the 2nd or 8th house cusp in the diurnal chart.
Note: Very good point here! To which I can add that JU is the preferred planet. And everything is being magnified if you have a direction, progression or lunation involved in the scenario.
Blessings!

This example is how I deal with diurnals and time.

10h30 JU on the cusp of your diurnal 2nd House (could be also your natal 2nd or 8th house cusp) and is ruling your diurnal 2nd and 10th house.
The Moon is approaching 1 degree 38'. It is a bit wide right now.

12h30 JU reaches the AS at 29 Pisces, the MO will be at 28 Can 43 - Orb 37' , the closer the better.
This is when you place your bet. Furthermore the A/M midpoint = MO/JU midpoint at 29 Tau.
Anything there in your midpoint structure that can send your win to the sky?
After 12h30, JU falls in the 12th and looses some of its magic.
13h06 MO crosses the 5th house and becomes Angular. You are still in the game.
13h50 MO trine JU - exact - Up to this point you can play.
14h40 MO crosses the 4th house to fall in the 3rd and is past 25' the trine to JU.
You stop there.

You play on 2 things. The exactness of the aspect and the Angularity of the planets involved. The combinations are multiple.
Blessings!

Diurnal AS in Leo trine my natal MA on the cusp of the diurnal and natal 5th.
The ruler SU not doing much.
The activity comes from the 2nd House
The diurnal 2nd H trines the MC conjunct NN
The MO in the diurnal 2ndH opposes NE early in the morning but trine PL in about 4h
And it will also make a square to my natal MA! Beware of risky business.
ME ruler of my natal and diurnal 2nd H sextile MA
JU ruling the diurnal 5th is antiscia from the 8th to my natal 2nd H cusp.
Lots of green signals!
-----------------------------

Midpoints
VE is semi-square MA in the midpoint of JU and my natal MC is in the picture
natal MC = JU =VE/MA Passionate and successful activity
My biggest win came when my natal MC was right on the cusp of the 7th House with VE angular.

7 wins 1 jackpot

What do we do when Saturn is on the cusp of the diurnal 2nd House?
In Virgo, the approach is practical, cautious and meticulous.
It does not deny winning at game of chances.
Let's have a closer look
SA sends a trine to the diurnal MC
It is sextile my natal SU ruler of my diurnal AS. So far so good.
Consider the same SA receiving a square from the ruler of the AS, 2, 5, 8.
Or not doing anything by aspect during the day. You judge accordingly.
----------
ME ruler of the diurnal and natal 2 sends a sextile to the diurnal AS. Another yes.
----------
SU ruler of the diurnal AS conjunct natal JU ruler of the natal 5th and 8th and diurnal 5th. Another yes.
And the MO will send a trine to tSU/nJU around 8pm when they show up on the cusp of the 5th.. Time chosen!
----------
The opposition to JU/NE in Aquarius will not hurt as I have identified that a transit at this point forms a midpoint structure tJU/NE = natal JU/natal MO in my chart.
Every chart is different, you need to investigate the subtleties of your own chart.
-----------
Midpoints
VE squares JU - VE/JU = natal ME
MO/VE and MO/JU = natal MA/JU
Shortly after 8pm, I started building up on 8 wins including 2 jackpots.
Blessings!

This one is interesting as it combines the diurnal and the event chart.
I am Cancer rising this month and the MO is in the diurnal 3rd... but approaching my natal 2nd House cusp.
Natal SU ruling my diurnal 2nd House is forming a Grand Trine with JU (diurnal 5th) and NE.
The MO conjunct the natal 2nd House. Interesting for a diurnal Cancer!
Looking up when the transiting 2nd House will be conjunct the MO - In 3 hours.
And the MO will be closer to my natal 2nd House.

It takes some time to get used to look at natal and diurnal planets and houses and be able to see what is there. Most of the time, we scrub the surface because our brain is trained to be selective.
By focusing on the House cusps, I tend to forget what Sophia Mason says...p. 8
"Aspects occuring in the natal chart between transiting planets or from transiting planets to natal planets can go completely unnoticed unless:
1) One of the planets involved happens to be the ruler of the diurnal AS
2) One of the planets involved is positioned in an angular house in the diurnal chart.
3) One of the aspecting planets is also aspecting an angular house cusp at the same time."

This diurnal gave me some kind of headache this week because VE in the AS was elusive. You know when you focus on when the AS will be conjunct VE but VE does not collaborate and keeps moving faster. Ouranos, stop looking at the perfect match on Tinder and concentrate on the second advice of Sophia Mason. Today, VE will make a trine to natal PL in the diurnal 8th from the 1st House. And VE rules the diurnal 5th and 10th and natal 10th. End of the story!

On the minus side was VE making a square to NE in the diurnal 3rd/natal 7th (an appointment reported). On the plus/minus side, JU ruling the diurnal AS sextile the diurnal 2nd house cusp (but 47' away) Will it play out? Even if I had the world's largest haul truck in front of me, I would never cease to doubt.

6 wins/2 jackpots
Blessings!

Some thoughts on Jupiter

As Jupiter reaches the Aries Point today, he is not doing it alone. He is doing it with Venus.
(Luck and joy in the general public. Gorgeous celebrations. Fortune and success in general. International justice and jurisdiction) - Alfred Witte.
Whatever you have around 0 degree in your midpoint structure will carry that flavor. Stronger in the middle of the 4 Fixed signs.
----------
My own experience with Jupiter when it hits your diurnal by 'hard aspect' is that it does not deny winning... but it denies keeping it by overindulgence. You win a lot, you loose a lot.
But for example today, if VE/JU hits something sensitive in your chart (planet or midpoint), the wise thing to do would be to choose ONE moment when both planets are Angular and leave with it.

Saturn is the great denier, by lack of funds or opportunities. Once I had a very good position, went out to play it and once on site, did not find any place to sit. Coming back home, I looked up and the midpoint SA/MC was crossing over my position. Another lesson from the sky!
Blessings!

This diurnal is also matching the event chart
MA conjunct the diurnal MC is exactly trine natal ME rising and ruling my natal 1st/2nd House.
Transiting MO ruling diurnal 1st and 2nd Antiscia natal PL
Transiting SU sextile natal JU ruling the diurnal MC
Transiting JU ruling the diurnal MC conjunct transiting VE ruler of the diurnal 5th and sextile transiting PL in the diurnal 8th.
Many many green signals.
----------
Midpoint
SU/MC = SU/MA = MO/MC = natal ME

I would like to hear if others have tested different systems or techniques.
I am also using the software Winning by Matrix Software for the transits to the natal/transits/house cusps and they have an option for the midpoints but it does not provide the motion of AS, MC, A/M and Planet/AS, Planet/MC around the zodiac.
For example, if you have transiting JU over natal SU, all transiting JU and natal SU midpoint are activated. When during the day do you have these midpoints contacted by the motion described above. I use Solar Fire to get a report.
What I hear is that astrologers are using different programs for different things and Kudos to the astrologers who are building up a community to develop more comprehensive applications for the benefit of astrology like Petr Soural (Astro-Seek) and his collaborators. Walter D. Pullen with Astrolog, a pioneer in the field. Jean Cremers with Planetdance who can turn on a dime.

I don't profess to have all the answers and I have encountered hiccups in my research but I remember very well when I first got interested by the subject thinking "Is astrology working?" and if so, how can we get a down-to-earth approach to it. At the same time, I am very interested by the spiritual side of a natal chart. What are we here for? Astrology is limitless, we simply need to improve our tools and share (and confront) our findings with other astrologers.

A friend invited me to attend a Bingo game. Bingos are a great way to socialize and have fun in good company. For $20, you can spend a good afternoon.
My diurnal for the day looks promising.
- AQU rising in trine to my ruler SA in the 8th House/Natal 2nd
- Both sextile VE in Sag at MC ruling the diurnal 8th and conjunct my natal PF.
- As a bonus, VE is Antiscia ME in the 11th and ruler of my natal 2nd House and the Moon had just entered my natal 2nd House.
Incidentally, my friend was a key factor as he told me a number I had not scratched on my card had already been drawn. Neptune in the diurnal AS, I must have been dreaming.
-------------
Image
I bought a card 1 minute before the start at 12h59 when the transiting MC was conjunct my diurnal AS. Why not play with the sky and what it provides.

--------------
Image
And I won $500 (a full card) 27 minutes later when the Part of Fortune was conjunct my diurnal AS and ME Antiscia VE on the cusp of the event 8th. Natal ME is on the cusp of the 2nd House.
Interesting fact, the Bingo was provincial, so it connected several sites in different cities and I was the only one to win the prize. If you have several winners at the same time, you split the prize.
In one of his video on the Part of Fortune and Part of Spirit, Simon Chokoisky says that the Part of Fortune is like the icing on the cake, it creates the 'uniqueness' (Sorry I can't recall the exact quote). What makes you stand out.
You cannot make up something like this, Heaven was making all the job for me.
Blessings!

This diurnal does have some strong signals but not all of them and a warning.
I am Leo rising making a trine to JU in the 9th... and JU in and ruling my natal 8th. Does it mean I can fly with the money? JU rules the (intercepted) diurnal 5th.
ME R ruler of my natal 2nd House is Antiscia the diurnal AS but also squaring SA in the diurnal 8th. But none of them ruling my diurnal AS. Hem! Don't go all in, be pragmatic, move on your tiptoe.
Early in the morning, the MO is squaring JU. I will postpone my travel plan to the grocery store.
She will contact my natal JU in the evening, co-ruler of the diurnal 5th. Time chosen!

I started to play shortly after 9m when the MO Angular was 45' approaching my natal JU
-----------
12 wins - Almost 3 thousand K
Biggest win came when the MO was in the midpoint UR/PF and the PF was making a grand trine with my diurnal AS and JU. Again, Fortuna in the picture.
Blessings!
