Well "Thur" sounds like "Thor". Maybe John Addey's fifth house cusp theory, which implicates Jupiter in Libra in this chart, is significant here? "Ar" reminds of "Ares", or Mars. Jupiter in Libra makes a one degree orb opposition to the Sun in Aries. Also, the fifth house cusp trines Mars in Taurus. Quote Sat Apr 08, 2017 4:52 pm

Interesting theory, but I think it's more to do with 'One' (Sun, Leo - according to Rex Bills and Aries, it could be suggested) and 'Arthur', the name possibly coming from the word 'King' (Sun, Leo). The 12th cusp was in Leo. It's an important testimony, L12, in my humble opinion. Also, the fifth house cusp trines Mars in Taurus. The first aspect was a square to The Sun. As for the retrograde Jupiter - Thunder and Roses ran into the back of a loose horse and sent the jockey flying backwards! Astrology in action! Verum e Quote Sat Apr 08, 2017 5:01 pm

I agree with you that "One" relates to the Sun. Solus meant alone, solitary. Quote Sat Apr 08, 2017 5:07 pm
28 by Jupiterhead One (Sun) for Art (Libra) hur (means 'here'). Jupiter rules the 4th house. Best I can do lol. If it's not astronomically true, it's not astrologically true. Quote Sat Apr 08, 2017 5:10 pm
29 by hera NO way would I ever picked up the winner. Glad that I did give "cause of cause" some extra thoughts, but I was put off by the mars saturn opposition transit. (Saint Are has it too) One of arthur has transit moon right on its saturn. I will certainly give saturn more credit from now. rogue angel lead the race for some time, I am ok with it. 31 by hera is this the hint we neglect.... the name of the owner? I forgot where seeing it but it did raise my eyebrows back to the time.. duality(mercury)/moon vs pluto (widow)/ sun jupiter opposition (men away). Speaking earlier this week, Belinda, 45, laughed: ?When we bought Arthur three years ago, both our partners were playing a lot of golf. ?You have to have a partnership name, you can call yourself anything really, but we just decided for a bit of a laugh to call ourselves ?Two Golf Widows?. ?We did not ever think we would have a runner in the National and now everybody want to know why we called ourselves that.? 32 by john Well done to everyone who found the winner or a placed horse. Moon on the ascendant seemed relevant with a female trainer and female owners. Quote Sun Apr 09, 2017 10:36 am
33 by john A long after the event postscript: The National was won by trainer Lucinda Russell and Jockey D Fox, with a mutable sign rising and Moon on the Ascendant. Today, Carlisle 15.30 Forest Des Aigles won, with Lucinda Russell the trainer and D Fox the jockey, with a similar mutable degree rising and Moon on the Ascendant. C'est la vie, say astrologers, goes to show you never can tell. Quote Sun Dec 03, 2017 6:39 pm
