Hi Ouranos, looks like both systems agree today.
Baseball-20230919-Jays-at-Yankees.png Baseball-20230919-Jays-at-Yankees.png Viewed 24262 times 110.8 KiB

Away Team - Challenger - Blue Jays
L1 Mars (superior) in 15 Libra (detriment) in 7th (angular but Yankees house)
Moon sep. square Venus (L7)
Mars app. square Pluto

Home Team - Defender - Yankees
L7 Venus (inferior) in 16 Leo (peregrine) in 5th (where she rejoices, moderate strength)
Moon app. opposition Uranus
Venus app. to no one

Probable Outcome: The Jays significator in the house belonging to the Yankees is, according to Bonatti, a "great debility" especially as Venus throws her sextile to Mars, albeit a separating one. Bonatti says that if Mars is either L1 or L7 they "will not give up" so Jays are likely to put up quite a battle; he also says the Moon in Scorpio indicates "a multitude of conflicts" so I'm thinking the score may go back and forth quite a bit. I think the Moon applying to Uranus means an upset by the Yankees as Jays are favoured.

We'll see :)

Yes it will be interesting to watch.
Also if we draw the line between the Moon-Uranus opposition, it also squares the 5th/11th axis.
What does your system say about the 5th/11th Houses?
Brady
5th The morale and condition of the soldiers. The morale of the team Their attitude
11th The organisation of the army. The training and prepared plays. Their preparation before the contest.

Upset. Maybe players are not following the book.???
Blessings!

Yesterday was like swinging in the dirt.
Jays 7 Yankees 1
Could not connect the Moon opposition Uranus to anything.
-----------
Let's see what tonight has in store for us.

Jays
Daily MC inconjunct natal Jupiter which is sesquiquadrate the Moon.
Daily AS conjunct transiting Pluto ruling their daily MC
Daily AS/PL trine their natal MC.

Yankees
Daily MC conjunct transiting SN inconjunct natal Neptune
Daily MC semi-square transiting Mercury
Daily AS conjunct natal VX and sesquiquadrate natal Venus/Uranus and opposition natal Mars. Also sextile Saturn.
This position seems to be the strongest.

Advantage Yankees
Blessings!

Yes, not a battle at all. Ouranos' take on Morin's rule gave a better description, Jays win, but there was no diminished lead; it grew.

And that's the second game where a significator in an opponent's house did not mean a loss and both times a detrimented Mars was involved. Brady does say “a malefic in detriment or fall greatly benefits the party it signifies” so possibly this is the case even if it is in the opposing parties 1st or 10th .

Also, felt there was something else going on in these chart that I was not grasping; went back to Bonatti, Brady and my bookshelves and re-read the section on sports games in Doane's Contest Charts and Zain's coverage of "electional charts" in Horary Astrology, Chapter 6 under the 7th House. Both mention timing events to planet's crossing the angles using the diurnal motion and giving 4 minutes to each degree. I had timed a number of plays in a few games, including last nights so decided to take a look at Mars crossing an angle.

Last night, In the 4th, Mars (L1) crossed the Descendant at roughly 7:59 PM (15 LI 11 – 1 LI 36 = 13º35' x 4' = 54.33 + 7:05), the Jays took a 2-1 lead when Biggio drove in a run at approximately 8:01 PM.

And in the 5th Mars (L1) moved to conjunct the Sun (success) at roughly 8:19 PM (15 LI 11 – 26 VI 45 = 18º 26' x 4' = 73.74/60=1hr 14' + 7:05), Bichette hit a 2 run HR, giving the Jays a 4-1 lead, at approximately 8:22 PM. Timing is off a minute or 2 but reasonably close.

I then looked at the Red Sox game where Mars ruled the Jays 10th (radix 4th) and Mars met the MC at 2:26 PM the Red Sox had loaded the bases and the Jays managed to get out of it without any runs coming in, holding on to their 0-1 lead. And when Mars met the Sun, at about 2:04, Chapman hit a double and two minutes later Keirmaier hit a sacrifice fly to give the Jays an 0-1 lead.

So perhaps a Mars in Detriment or Fall in an opponents house cannot be controlled by the opponent and harms them more than the team it signifies.

Away Team - Challenger - Jays
L1 Mars (superior) in 15 Libra (detriment) in 7th (angular but Yankees house)
Moon sep. square Saturn (L10)
Mars app. square Pluto

Home Team - Defender - Yankees
L7 Venus (inferior) in 16 Leo (peregrine) in 5th (where she rejoices, moderate strength)
Moon app. square Mercury (cadent)
Venus app. to no one

The square to Saturn (L10) could indicate the Jays will have a rougher time tonight. As well Pluto is now in a partile trine to the Sun, yesterday the square of Pluto to the Ascendant timed the end of a Yankee rally, will the Yankees be more successful (Sun) today?

The series of timings are also very similar, but don't think there will be a lead off home run tonight for the Jays. They may also lose a lead late in the game but take it back (if the timings produce results similar to yesterday's with the exception of the Yankees giving them more trouble).

Probable Outcome: Think the Jays will win again but not as easily.

Interesting what you mention here Janegca. An average game will last about 3 hours so the Angles will move about 1 sign and a half.
Tonight Mars will be crossing the 7th House around 8pm
And as planets rise, set, culminate and anti-culminate, I think too that they have an influence how the game unfold.

Good luck for tonight!
Blessings!

Re: Baseball Series: Toronto Blue Jays @ New York Yankees

Kudos for last night Janegca!
Blue Jays 7 Yankees 1
-----------------
Pluto on the daily AS of the Jays was stronger than the SN on the daily MC of the Yankees.
And the AS conjunct their natal VX connecting by hard aspect is not good for a team as per Mason.
Same thing tonight.

Based on this single factor, I will go for the Jays tonight although their position is weaker.
Blessings!

HI Ouranos, I was looking at them with 1 degree = 4' rather than real motion, using that, Mars conjuncted the 7th around 7:20 -- the Yankees gave up two walks but no runs, the previous night it crossed around 8pm and Vladdy got to first on a Yankee error and Biggio drove him in for a run. Curious to see what happens tonight, it will cross around 7:50, would expect at least a walk or hit from the Jays.

Jays won :) Tonight's chart looks very similar, again, except for the Moon and the angles have moved a few degrees. I've used a 7:07 start time rather than the posted 7:05 as they've started a bit behind the last two games.

Away Team - Challenger - Jays
L1 Mars (superior) in 16 Libra (detriment) in 7th (Yankee's house)
Moon sep. trine Venus (L7)
Mars app. to no one

Home Team - Defender - Yankees
L7 T (inferior) in 17 Leo (peregrine) in 5th
Moon app. square Neptune
Venus app. to no one

Mars separating by trine from Venus (L7) maybe an indication the Jays “luck” in beating the Yankees is in the past. As well, the partile inconjunct between Jupiter and Mars is now separated although Jupiter has moved into the first; do they now need to rely on their own luck and not the Yankees giving them an easy time?

For the Yankees, being given Neptune by square could indicate obstacles from illusions or, in their 6th, not being willing to work for the win (Neptune can be lazy). Could also simply mean they are hopeful of a win since Cole (their best pitcher) starts tonight.

During the last two games the Jays took or secured their lead when Pluto conjuncted the MC, tonight it will do that around 8:46.
When Jupiter conjuncted the Asc, the Yankees got a HR, tonight it will conjunct around 9:43 and, if the game runs as late as 10:15 or beyond the Yanks might pull off an upset (Uranus will conjunct the Asc around then). The games have been running just under that time (9:52 and 10pm) so I think it will probably be another Jays win but again, not as easy as the last one.

Away Team-Challenger-Jays
L1 Jupiter (superior) in 15 Taurus (peregrine) in 2nd (moderate strength)
Moon sep. square Sun (in 7th)
Jupiter app. to no one

Home Team - Defender - Tampa Bay Rays
L7 Mercury (inferior) in 11 Virgo (domicile) in 7th (strong)
Moon app sextile Saturn (conjunct Asc)
Mercury app. trine Jupiter (L1)

The Sun is critical at 29 Virgo in the 7th (Rays 1st) and is being given to the Jays by square while Mercury (L7) is applying to trine Jupiter (L1). Mercury (L7) is also partile square the MC (Jays 10th) creating more difficulties for them and has been given Saturn who is within 1 degree of the Asc (Jays). Going to take this as the Jays having major obstacles to overcome while the Rays will have little difficulty dealing with the Jays.

Probable Outcome: Jays lose.
