How can you locate a fact or an event in a radix in time?

My grandma died the day I had the transit Pluto conjunction moon. The transit was exact.

I had a car accident when Saturn was in transit exactly on my moon.

I moved the day Chiron was in my 3rd house on my Radixchiron.

When can you assign an event or a fact to your own radix and a certain constellation, even though it is not exact?

Orbs originated from a need to determine a limit at which the strength of an aspect calculated by degree overcame the relevance of an aspect calculated according to the signs. It was essentially an attempt to define 'perfection' - the period of the aspect's strongest force. Usually this was interpreted as the degree of exactness, but opinion varied and the 2nd century text of Antiochus mentions 'contact' or "application in the proper sense" as occurring within 3 degrees.

I think the last sentence there holds the answer you are looking for: "opinion varied" but it was understood that the closer the orb the stronger the effect.

I've had events occur in my life before an aspect became exact. For instance, my father, who can be signified in my chart by the Sun because the Sun rules my 4th house (father), passed away when transiting Jupiter (the ruler of the 8th in my radix) applied a square to my Sun - it was still a degree from exact when he passed.

I think it's important to remember though that while transits, no doubt, can show events, there's usually more than just the one transit taking place, and other timing techniques should be considered as well. For example, the personal illustration I gave above, the death of my father as transiting Jupiter applied a square to my radix Sun, occurred weeks before I turned 35. Jupiter was transiting the same sign it was in when I was born (making a 'return'), completing its third cycle of rounding my whole chart. So I'd already had this same transit twice in my life. Why did what happened happen this time? I could go into further detail and tell you what else was going on in my chart at the time: transits, profections, directions, and so on that co-sign the specific event that occurred, but I'll spare you from having to sip on that muddy water - it's not the point of what I'm getting at. My suggestion to you is, take a look back at your chart and see what else was going on when the events you told us about happened. I'm sure you'll find some impressive things.

In my father's death chart I don't see any transits
that are anywhere near exact to his birth chart.
With the exception of Uranus exactly on the top of the 6th house from the radix. The AC at death is in the 4th house of his radix. I view the 4th house as the
primary house of death. What is striking is the fact that the lunar nodal axis of his death is exactly on the AC axis of his father and that the Jupiter of death is at AC while he was at DC at birth. My father had a gentle death.
I was the only one who accompanied him.

You'll give yourself an aneurysm by taking astrology too seriously. LOL. It can become easy to overestimate its actual capabilities, and get frustrated when it doesn't perform how we think it should. But the capital "T" Truth is that capital "R" Reality doesn't always fit our schemes of things as nicely as we'd like. Astrology can astound us at times, for sure, and I'm fascinated with it - but I don't think it's a perfect map to this thing we're doing called "life".

I see it differently than you. In my opinion, astrology is not done scientifically enough these days. Therefore, the measurable results cannot be validated. Some believe in it, others don't. Many years ago I had developed a statistical proof of astrology and came across the problem that all astrologers lacked the skills in probability theory and the mathematicians lacked the philosophical, astrological skills in order to be able to assess and examine my results. A well-known astrologer in Germany who worked in the statistical field referred me to a friend of him who was an astrology critic, and the astrology critic referred me back to him. Theater of the absurd.

I once corrected my birth time or confirmed it by the day of an operation in the clinic, which fell on the direction of the ascendant on the radix Neptune. I have Neptune square Mars and it was an abscess. I do think that there is precision, but that the same progression method is not always decisive.
