Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 1 by Wei I would like to hear other people's opinions and thoughts, so I am posting this here. This topic may be unrelated to astrology, but I believe that astrologers should be skilled at observing both celestial patterns (the rules of the heavens) and worldly matters (the changes on Earth). I have observed an interesting distinction between Western and Eastern civilizations. To save everyone's time, I will start with my conclusion. I believe that Western civilization tends to lean towards invention and creation, while Eastern civilization tends to focus on improvement and preservation. Perhaps it would be easier to understand using the language of astrology. Western civilization leans towards cardinal signs, while Eastern civilization leans towards fixed signs. Mutable signs in Western civilization can lead to confusion of thought, whereas in Eastern civilization, they lead to continuous improvement until a bottleneck is reached. In my impression, it seems that epoch-making inventions are often born in Western countries, usually following a prolonged period of intellectual confusion. "Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going?" Once Westerners temporarily resolve these questions, groundbreaking inventions and creations are likely to emerge. For example, after experiencing the dark period of the Middle Ages, rationalism emerged. Under its influence, the 18th and 19th centuries became a period of explosive invention and creation. When ideas developed faster than material means could keep up, territorial expansion and resource plundering began, eventually leading to the two World Wars. After the end of the two World Wars, the United States and the Soviet Union, due to ideological confusion (in my view, any ideology or religion is a sign of intellectual confusion), started a prolonged conflict, which has not truly ended to this day. In Eastern civilization, there doesn't seem to be such large-scale periods of intellectual confusion. Most of the time, it is very stable. Wars due to ideological or religious differences are rare. In Eastern civilization, wars tend to occur primarily over territorial and resource disputes. These are just my unprofessional thoughts, and I am merely sharing my feelings and impressions. I had these thoughts because I saw that the European Union is planning to increase tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. I can understand the anxiety that Western countries feel toward China. When chatting with my mother, she also mentioned that China has developed very rapidly over the past decade or so. Our shared impression is that around 2012, the development speed of our city suddenly accelerated. My mother said it felt like it started with the construction of the metro systems. This made me curious about the tools used for digging subways. After looking up information, I found that it is called a tunnel boring machine, invented by the British in the 19th century. China bought German tunnel boring machines, then disassembled and improved them. Now, Chinese-designed tunnel boring machines are being sold back to Europe. Yesterday, I bought an iPad Air 5 (I bought an iPad Air 2 in 2015, and almost ten years later, I finally decided to get a new one because the iPad Air 2 doesn't support the Apple Pencil). Why did I wait ten years to upgrade my iPad? Because I felt that since Steve Jobs left us, Apple hasn't released many products that amaze me. Nowadays, smartphones/tablets designed in China are cheaper and better than Apple's. Artificial intelligence was also born in Western countries. All these experiences and feelings have led me to these thoughts. I feel that the thinking patterns of Westerners and Easterners are quite different. Of course, I am speaking in broad terms and generalizations here. Astrology, which has been around for thousands of years, is an exception. I have always felt that astrology might truly belong to an extraterrestrial civilization. Quote Fri Jun 14, 2024 3:54 am
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 2 by Jakob Hi Wei, hi all, my first cents. We can see from your post that a forum is more interesting where people from all continents read and write. I haven't categorized things like you, Wei. But your point of view structurally coincides with mine. When I write in Western astrology forums in my typical way, I am often asked the question: What do you want to tell us with this? The Western type of person always wants to have some kind of religious or ideological foundation behind everything described. Germany seems to me to be the world champion in this respect, which is why it is not surprising that our government says it wants to pursue a value-driven foreign policy. I remember numerous discussions in German astrological forums using the example of predicting events, especially in sports. The last one was the soccer World Cup. I remember that before the round of 16 there was a debate about the results of these 8 games and I guessed that there would only be one surprise, namely the victory of Morocco over favorite Spain. The astrologers thought I was a troll and asked me after the round of 16 where my statement arrived, according to which system I interpret. So they wanted to know which church I was going to. Because everyone is pointing to some manuals and that's why they're so often wrong. I couldn't answer the others' question the way they wanted to read it. That's why they became aggressive and finally deleted me. Western man needs an ideological creed behind everything. It does not matter the matter itself. People in the West have forgotten how to be amazed. Amazement is the beginning of knowledge and philosophy. I have been visiting my sick sister since yesterday. She lives in the town where the journalists were housed in a castle during the Nuremberg Trials in 1946. When I drove past this castle on my arrival in the city yesterday, there was a white VW with the license plate FÜ-B-1455 in front of me and diagonally to the right of me a white Mercedes with the license plate FÜ-B-1554. 99% of people would never notice something like that. I was amazed at that. When my sister's husband died, my great love had her 50th birthday, when my youngest grandchild was born, that was the anniversary of my father's death. When my sister got married, it was the 50th anniversary of the death of our grandfather, who was executed by the Nazis in 1937. We didn't know the day of death at that time. If you tell people in the West something like that, they immediately ask about the "religion", the ideological explanation behind it. They can't just leave facts as they are. You always need a profession of faith from the other. Jakob Quote Fri Jun 14, 2024 8:42 am

The news I saw was related to Volkswagen. :-D When I have the chance / time, I would also like to analyse the history of foreign companies in China over the past 40 years from an astrological point of view. Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 4 by james_m wei yours is an interesting and thought provoking post.. thanks for making it! i am not sure where to start in replying to your post.... the whole construct of 'east-west' is man made... if you think of a circle - there really is no starting point.. it has to be arbitrary... so, i don't really believe in this east-west divide, but at the same time it has been imposed on me thru my indoctrination of living on the planet, like everyone else... of course there is an east and a west and funny enough - japan and russia and etc etc - are west of where i live, and i am east of where they are located! there used to be a tv series many years ago called 'connections'.. james burke was the host.. it was a fascinating show in that he showed how typically discoveries are made simultaneously by a number of people on different parts of the planet, although the discoveries are usually only accredited to one person or 'inventor'.. i like this idea because it implies an idea has arisen in the consciousness of the planet and it is time to manifest - it is more universal in nature, as opposed to specific to a location on the planet.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connectio ... TV_series) the dynamic on the planet with regard to wars, is always about money, whether that is in the form of control of resources and what have you... presently the american empire is cracking at the seams and doing all in its power to maintain its hegemony... the most obvious place to do this is on the european continent to keep europe away from russia and china... blowing up nordstream was an obvious move in this direction.. now countries like germany are dependent on energy from the usa... imposing tariffs and trade barriers on russia and china - all a byproduct of the usa demanding europe and other countries in the usa's sphere - remain vassals to the usa... it is the sign of a dying empire, but it could take some time for this to become fully apparent to more people... here is an article which i read yesterday on this developing trade war... https://rogerboyd.substack.com/p/eu-vas ... ming-trade i like your idea of astrology being extraterrestrial.. that very well could be.. in fact we may all be extraterrestrial and from another planet, but it generally never gets discussed, lol! Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 5 by Jakob The term western is not meant geographically, especially since the cardinal directions and one's own place are such a thing anyway. I have been working at Frankfurt Airport for almost 30 years. We had a customer from Australia 20 years ago. When he saw the world map on the wall in our office, he was irritated. Here in Europe, Europe is in the middle of a world map, in Australia it is Australia. Quote Fri Jun 14, 2024 8:51 pm

James and others interested in this topic, Based on my predictions, the development trajectory is moving from insulators to semiconductors, and eventually to conductors. It is possible that robots might truly replace us, taking over space travel and exploration on our behalf. Look, according to the information I found online, Over 99% of the human body's weight is composed of just six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, phosphorus, and calcium. Another 0.85% consists of potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium. The remaining 0.15% comprises 49 trace elements. From the perspective of the periodic table, the human body is essentially an insulator.(I understand that according to the textbook, the human body is considered a conductor.) I feel that the world is developing in this direction. What are your thoughts? Quote Sat Jun 15, 2024 4:38 pm

AI has been introduced as the latest and greatest thing for us, but at this point, unless those in power adopt a different orientation and set of values, we are screwed... that is what i think... and yet, i remain optimistic that people will see the limitations of technology and how they can be used for the wrong purposes too.. but for that, a higher level of awareness and contemplation is needed.. your images have some upsides and downsides to them... we haven't figured out how to live together on this planet, let alone learning to travel to other planets to interact with others.. Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 8 by Jakob Dear James, I have not lectured you on the West and East, even if you seem to have understood it that way. Not everything that is not said is concealed. The world is not divided into West and East, not even into North and South, they are all subsets. BRICS is Anti-West. That's how I would put it. Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 9 by james_m thanks jakob. there is the west and then there are ''the rest'' lol... apparently ''the rest'' have to be continually dominated and exploited, but otherwise the ''rules based order'' must continue and multipolar reality is a dream that will not be continence d!! Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 10 by Jakob Dear James, I didn't have to speak english very often during the last years. Sometimes I need an online translater to understand specifics sometimes I don't read so clearly but superficial. That is the reason If I sometimes misunderstand what is written here. But my words in west and east were misanderstood by you I think. I just sometimes leave words away. Intentionally. (this time without an online translater). A historian once wrote that great empires are at their zenith and then slowly perish when decadence is greater than hunger. Jakob Quote Sat Jun 15, 2024 7:07 pm
Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 11 by james_m thanks jakob i think i understand.. understanding is not always perfect, is it? i like what this historian said that you've quoted... i think it is applicable today.. interests are being served that are not in the best interests of ordinary people.. in fact, it is just the opposite... i think we will continue to see changes in political systems until they more accurately reflect what the public need, as opposed to what the elite or oligarchs want and continue to get... the european parliament elections of just past, are just a beginning sign of this.. Re: Some Incomplete Thoughts-unrelated to astrology 12 by Jakob Dear James an Wei, I don't know if both of you know Vaclav Havel. He was the former president of czechoslovakia and a writer in prison in the times of Warsaw Pact. I loved to read his books, one has the name „if you try to live in the truth“. (free translation of mine) If we come back to astrology now I think that most important astrological constellation of the current time is the entry of Neptune into the zodiac sign of aries. The lies of the times are coming to light. 2025 will be a very important year. Quote Sat Jun 15, 2024 9:24 pm
