Sy Scholfield notes that Jones has said in an interview that he has Leo rising [1]. In another interview he says, "Once my dreamer Pisces side sees the end result, my practical Leo influence kicks in and says, ‘How do I get there?'" ("Turning Pain into Beauty" by Eric Deggans, St. Petersburg Times, 18 November 2001, p. F1). In a 20 May 2021 interview in the Hollywood Reporter, Jones stated, "I’m Pisces, Leo rising and a Scorpio moon" [2].

The time on the BC was read by Lois Rodden as 8:40 PM. Arguably, it could be read as 3:40, though the other figures '3' on the document, for example at top left, have a distinctly different form. A time of 3:40 PM would give 28 Leo rising.

On November 3, 2024, Jones died at his home in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles at the age of 91.[89][90][91] His publicist confirmed his death. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed, but was later revealed to be pancreatic cancer.
