A good time to begin serious study of Horary? 1 by LeoRising Although I'm a long time student of astrology, the branches of Horary and Electional astrology are new to me. I'm looking for a good time to begin my study of Horary in earnest. Knowing very litlle about Election astrology, I'm considering the following time to begin a serious study: 10/16/2008 @ 11:58 AM in Grand Junction , CO ( 108W33, 39N04 ) ASC 17SG38 This time shows a stationary direct ME ( significator of Astrology ) on the 10th house cusp, which seems like a strong position. JU, lord of Asc is in 1st which gives some strength to Jupiter. SA, lord of 2nd house of income participates in a Grand Trine with ASC lord JU and Exalted moon in Taurus. ME semi-sextile Mars, supposedly a good aspect for finances. These all seem like good signs to me, but my knowledge is limited. Very likely I am missing alot here and I would appreciate comments from other list members with greater understanding than my own. I'm also open to adjustments in the timing, along with your reasoning for selecting that time. Thanks in advance! many blessings....Franco Quote Wed Oct 15, 2008 4:20 pm
2 by Gunhilde I'm not sure I can help much with the electional bit of it, electional not being my forte, but IMO there's never a BAD time to start studying horary. It just seems a bit...odd...to want to choose a time to begin studying something, when it will actually take a very long time (usually) to really come to grips with it, anyhow. I realise this is no help at all. But if you want to study horary, just start studying. GH Quote Thu Oct 16, 2008 9:57 am
